I was super hesitant to spend $25 on a teething toy. It’s honestly just a regular squeaky toy but the other reviews were spot on and my child absolutely LOVES his Sophie. Something about that rubbery smiley giraffe is just so darn appealing to babies. She is without a doubt one of his very favorite toys, especially once he started teething.

Im gonna be completely honest. This teether is super pricey and everyone seems to love it and i get why they do. however, it is a complete pain to clean. There is a hole in the middle of the giraffes back for the squeak which i think is not necessary and is a detriment to the design. You have to be really careful not to get water inside the hole or mold will grow. So i was really upset when i couldnt wash it with water and soap and had to resort to other cleaning methods and when i did wash it with water, i had to cover the hole with my finger and wash around it. When you are in a hurry or the baby is crying you need to do things quick. so this is a pain. but my baby loved and used this teether so much and its very durable. So just keep that in mind if you get it.

I love Sophie, and I love Amazons easy return policy, but apparently not everyone is as careful as I am. This Sophie came to my house in a ripped box that had clearly already been opened and returned. The Sophie itself looked new after careful examination, so thats fine. Still, when returns happen, Amazon needs to be more careful with reselling them.

It’s for my daughter. The toy was taken out of the box before getting to me though. That’s why I’m rating four stars. The Sophie is in good condition the but Sophie box was open and ripped with Sophie floating around easlily inside. It’s not a big deal we will just clean her before giving her to my daughter as the toy is in good condition, just want to be on the safe side. But if the bod she comes in is important to you for aesthetic purposes or something you might be better off just getting in the store just to be on the safe side. Otherwise it came about three days early which is very nice! I was alerted promptly when it was delivered as well. I would recommend Sophie as a baby toy. My daughter loves the Sophie cartoon so we decided to do a whole Sophie theme for her birthday. We’re going to give her this one as a gift.

Everywhere and I wondered what the big deal was and now I know! These are perfect for teething and designed specifically for the different stages of teething. The little ears are perfect when their front teeth are coming in, and the feet are great for molars! Plus she’s really cute.

If my 6 month old twins could speak words... Well, they would be too busy chewing on their Sophies to tell you to just get the toy. Once my twins hit the I want to taste test ALL the things stage, it was time to get Sophie (I had already read about how great the toy was). The baby safe chew toy is worth it (and I had to get 2)--my mom even told me to write a review because of how the boys get great use of Sophie. My boys are entertained gumming on Sophie and she will make noise as they gum her due to the material she is made of (separate from her squeaker). They can grab different parts of Sophie to pick her up which was helpful when they were still working on their grasp. Sophie comes on trips out and about instead of pacis because one of my boys will take a paci and the other will not.

I bought this for my niece. It was on her wish list for her baby shower. Such a cute gift! As far as how it works for teething....I guess well find out when those teeth come in. It got lots of oohs and aaahs at the baby shower.
