I bought this giraffe because my pediatrician recommended it. Once received I cleaned it and well, bit it myself. Definitely a natural rubber that doesn’t taste like chemicals. They painted spots are food grade paint, so no worries there. My son holds it easily and it’s easy to clean. I do try not to submerge it water because of the squeak hole in the back. Would definitely recommend this to other parents.

All of the babies in our family have been given Sohie the Giraffe when they were babies. It’s easy to hold, soft rubber, and an accessible teething toy.

I ordered Sophie for a baby shower for a good friend. The baby loves it!

This would be a 5 star review if the quality was a little better. We have been using this for 4 months and there is a hole in the seam where the rubber is fused together. We had two Sophie’s with my older son and this never happened. With that said, this is by far my baby’s favorite teether. It is easy for a little baby (3-4 mo) to hold and there are lots of different parts to chew on. I just wish it wasn’t coming apart because now it is difficult to wash without getting water in that tear.

My friends wife is having a baby so I started buying some things I know they will need (having three grown children of my own and 8 grandchildren). My daughter is the expert however so I asked her opinion on everything. She said I should definitely buy a Sophie. I had no idea what a Sophie was so she educated me in the fine art of Sophie for teething babies. No problem except the price. Its a squeaking rubber giraffe for $20+. I dont know about anyone else, but Im big on value for my dollar and while it went against the grain, I bought it anyway. Had no idea rubber giraffes from France were so expensive, but oh, well, Im a sucker for babies. When mine were little I didnt care about how much I spent, same thing with my grandchildren. I just thought it was funny, a Sophie for the baby...who knew?

Ive had this teether for a couple months now and it is my 6 month olds favorite toy. Its easy to clean I just hold my finger over the little squeak hole when washing it and let it air dry. Its super easy for babys to hold and my baby loves to chew on her legs and head lol. It may seem a bit pricey for a teether but its high quality so I think its worth it for the price, Im sure my baby will still be playing with this even when hes not teething, its adorable! 10/10 recommended.

Im gonna be completely honest. This teether is super pricey and everyone seems to love it and i get why they do. however, it is a complete pain to clean. There is a hole in the middle of the giraffes back for the squeak which i think is not necessary and is a detriment to the design. You have to be really careful not to get water inside the hole or mold will grow. So i was really upset when i couldnt wash it with water and soap and had to resort to other cleaning methods and when i did wash it with water, i had to cover the hole with my finger and wash around it. When you are in a hurry or the baby is crying you need to do things quick. so this is a pain. but my baby loved and used this teether so much and its very durable. So just keep that in mind if you get it.

My baby thinks it’s very funny when this toy squeaks. As for teething, he isn’t the biggest fan but will still use it occasionally.
