Baby loves Sophie! The squeak is great for getting baby’s attention and is very easy for babies to hold. There’s a hole in the back which you shouldn’t get water in to avoid mold so you just have to be careful when washing.

When I was pregnant with my first born, I saw this little toy and thought How cute...and expensive! and refused to buy Sophie. Then my husband got a baby shower gift from a co-worker and Sophie was included. I thought it was ridiculous but hey, Sophie is cute and it was a gift so... Then my son started teething. Tylenol only seemed to numb the pain but he still cried. We tried baby gum gel and that only lasted a few minutes and then he was miserable again. We tried other teethers but they only seemed to frustrate him more. And then I gave him Sophie... Sophies foot, Sophies face, Sophies ear, Sophies neck...throughout all of his teething stages, Sophie was there to save the day. And now Im a Sophie believer--Sophie is my go-to for baby shower gifts and Sophie was the first thing on my wish list when I began making my baby registry for my second born.

My baby absolutely LOVES Sophie the Giraffe. She holds and chews on it frequently, but we have only been using it for 2 months. However, today I noticed a crack on the seam of the neck. She loves this toy, but I am disappointed that a $20+ baby teether only lasted 2 months. I cannot give her this toy to chew on now in case the rubber continues to crack and peel off. Great while it was usable, but disappointing it didnt last more than 2 months.

Ok I’ll admit it…I thought people were CRAZY to buy this teether. How could Sophie possibly be worth more than some of the jeans this mama buys herself? Well for whatever reason it’s like babies are drawn to it! My son who has really bad oral aversion from reflux, silent Aspiration and NG/NJ feeding tubes actually loves chomping on her feet and head! She’s super cute and easy for little fingers to hold. Dog families- like most baby toys, it squeaks (for whatever reason)! My dog is just as interested and OBSESSED with trying to chew on poor Sophie.

We love Sophie the giraffe, but difficult for my 3 month old granddaughter to hold. I would have preferred a rattle to a squeaker. When my fur babies hear the squeaking sound, they automatically think it’s for them.
