> 3 dayMy friends wife is having a baby so I started buying some things I know they will need (having three grown children of my own and 8 grandchildren). My daughter is the expert however so I asked her opinion on everything. She said I should definitely buy a Sophie. I had no idea what a Sophie was so she educated me in the fine art of Sophie for teething babies. No problem except the price. Its a squeaking rubber giraffe for $20+. I dont know about anyone else, but Im big on value for my dollar and while it went against the grain, I bought it anyway. Had no idea rubber giraffes from France were so expensive, but oh, well, Im a sucker for babies. When mine were little I didnt care about how much I spent, same thing with my grandchildren. I just thought it was funny, a Sophie for the baby...who knew?

> 3 dayI bought this for my niece. It was on her wish list for her baby shower. Such a cute gift! As far as how it works for teething....I guess well find out when those teeth come in. It got lots of oohs and aaahs at the baby shower.

> 3 dayI love Sofie the giraffe. My first little one loved hers so I had to get one for my newest. When I read the reviews on here I freaked out and ended up doing hours of research because obviously with a teething toy you dont want it to be made in China with lead paint for your baby to chew off. This one has the correct squeak, the right texture, the right smell, and the special code on the leg. It also has the right paint pattern/colour. So dont fret mama, this is the real deal, and your little one will love it.

> 3 dayI was super hesitant to spend $25 on a teething toy. It’s honestly just a regular squeaky toy but the other reviews were spot on and my child absolutely LOVES his Sophie. Something about that rubbery smiley giraffe is just so darn appealing to babies. She is without a doubt one of his very favorite toys, especially once he started teething.

Greater than one weekIts a lovely baby toy, made of natural rubber. Its a very good quality product, made in France. Its a little bit pricey, but its worth it. I would not trust a baby toy made in China since a scandal with lead paint happened there some years ago
