> 3 dayJust received. Love these and easy to set up. I could NOT make it work with Wink ( 1st generation ). If you read the little instruction it comes with its easy. Works great with Alexa Dot once you program it to through the Alexa App or works with its own app, Smart Life. They are easily programmable or you can do it manually from its app.

> 3 dayThey work very well! The setup is very easy but I had to change my router Wi-Fi configuration so the plugs could be detected by the app. Once theyre plugged, you can turn them on/off by pressing a button on the plugs themselves, by tapping a button on the app (even when youre not in the same Wi-Fi as the plugs) or by talking to your Google Home. I just wish they were a little smaller :)

> 3 dayThe device does need the application downloaded to your phone to operate, but was easy to use and I was able to connect the devices to my Alexa with very little problem. The most difficulty I found with setup was having to try connecting to my home network. Both devices took two attempts, but were quite stable once connected and responded to voice commands with no problem. They are primarily a switch and have to variability, such as a dimming capability, but work great for automatic switching of a lamp on or off etc.

> 3 dayThey work well. Love being able to tell Alexa to turn the lights on and off. The app allows one to control the lights from anywhere. Timers can also be set up. I will be buying more.

03-06-2025My first venture into using our Dot to control a few things. Took a few minutes to set up and I did that twice. Set the smart outlet app up first and the app was ok, It has the on/off action just like a light switch. Next I went to the Skill in Alexa for these plugs, and set them up in Alexas Smart Home settings. All went well, Quality seems excellent, Where I plugged in one it made the outlet a little hard to use the second outlet (my strange plug), I just added a connector, one of those short plugs with 3 places to plug something in and it solved the problem. In playing around as when we are on vacation I dont trust our router to stay on all the time so I use one of those lights on/off timers to reset it in the early AM. I my brilliant thinking, I tried the second plug to see if it would work away from home to reset the router. (bad idea you figure it out, I dont recommend trying it). It is cool that you can control lights or other things remotely using the apps.

> 3 dayIn the end these plugs are a good product for the price. Like just about every tech product Ive ordered from China, the instructions appear to lack editing by a native fluent speaker. Another problem, also typical, is that the Android store has multiple apps that have similar confusing names; use Smart Lifes QR code or go with the icon of the blue house with the beaming icon in the corner of the icon. Also typical, the setup and user interfaces of Amazon Alexa, Google Home and the manufacturers own site are in flux and the teeny stamp sized instruction pages are out of date and only somewhat useful to configure the products. This is as much the fault of Google and Apple as the manufacturer. Luckily you can search online and get them working. So far, the outlets work fine and are really quite handy. They click loudly so I hope the solenoid switches last. Also, the first time I plugged in each plug neither of them powered up. Simply unplugging and re-inserting them solved that. Weird. Alexa App on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) was pretty easy to setup and definitely works much better, responds with near instantaneous speed typical of Alexa. Google Home was a total nightmare due mainly to Google Homes arcane and nearly secret menu to simply add a plug and link between Google Home and the Smart Life app. Once setup, Google Home then has this way cumbersome two step process every time you issue a command where it hands you off to the Smart Life app, which then converses in its own slow-paced voice...and then wants to keep chatting w/ you every time you turn a light on/off. Theyll eventually figure it out. Although they display the IFTTT logo in their listing, IFTTT is not appearing among the list of supported Home Automation services in the Smart Life app. Maybe its another hour of deciphering the mysteries of cheap Chinese-made iOT gadgets. The Smart Life App is a privacy invasion fire storm - to setup and use the app you must agree to let them track and share your age, height, weight, birthdate, sleep patterns, location and activities, to name a few! Theres almost nothing they dont require in order to setup the app, including WiFi and old style 2 GHz network, i.e. if you have a router thats under 5 years old you might have to configure your mobile device to use the old 2GHz mode. After that, your mobile device can go back to using a modern 5GHz network. I control these using Amazon Dash Wand, a $20 device that includes a $20 credit. Amazon Wand deftly handles turning on/off lights faster than any family member, roommate or bedtime partner ever will.

> 3 dayOriginal: Seems to be working in its own app, and as a group under the Wink skill. I will bump up to five stars if it keeps working. Note that this is not a dimmer. It is relay controlled, and it makes quite a loud click when it turns off and on. Nothing too bad, but just know you wont be able to control your light brightness with this. Update: Lights are kicking off and back on every so many minutes. It lasts about 1/2 second. You can tell by the light flicker, and the loud clicking of the relay. Down one star to 3. I will return. Update 12/28: I have learned to live with these plugs. The light turning off and back on had something to do with the apps timer function. Both now work reliably. My only complaint is they do not dim (yes, I knew they did not dim when I purchased them, but its still a negative), and that they are quite loud when they switch. Update 4/11/18: Inadvertent off/on problem returned. It just flashes off for a second every 10-15 minutes, and you can hear the relay click from the next room. Do not recommend this product. There are far better and less expensive options out there.

Greater than one weekWorked great for about six weeks. Now...they are rather sporadic. They connect with Alexa only when they want and connect with my cell phone in the same manner, only when they wish to do so.

05-06-2025We love these! All I️ wanted was for all of my Christmas lights to turn on at the same time and this is It. We got them in the mail, my husband plugged them in a set up a “network” for all Christmas lights and viola! No worries about not being home. Also, I️ can turn them on early from my phone!!!!
