They work well. Love being able to tell Alexa to turn the lights on and off. The app allows one to control the lights from anywhere. Timers can also be set up. I will be buying more.

These work very well with my lamps. I would give them 5 stars but I thought the directions to link w/the Echo could be a little more clear; it wasnt too difficult though, just took a few minutes.

Be aware that the required phone app and this physical device are actually collecting data and could potentially compromise your phone and home network, leaving them, and the data on both, vulnerable to outside access. To be able to setup and use this device with Alexa or Google, you have to download an app to your phone, then create an account with your smart phone, using personal information that goes to the vendor in China. Based on their Terms of Service, they harvest quite a bit of personal information from your phone, including contacts, pictures and even your signature, as well as continued tracking and gathering of data when the device is used, as well as ongoing data collection via the phone app, - including data from your friends and family thats on your phone - which you have to warrant that you have permission from friends and family to disclose. Original: Seems to be working in its own app, and as a group under the Wink skill. I will bump up to five stars if it keeps working. Note that this is not a dimmer. It is relay controlled, and it makes quite a loud click when it turns off and on. Nothing too bad, but just know you wont be able to control your light brightness with this. Update: Lights are kicking off and back on every so many minutes. It lasts about 1/2 second. You can tell by the light flicker, and the loud clicking of the relay. Down one star to 3. I will return. Update 12/28: I have learned to live with these plugs. The light turning off and back on had something to do with the apps timer function. Both now work reliably. My only complaint is they do not dim (yes, I knew they did not dim when I purchased them, but its still a negative), and that they are quite loud when they switch. Update 4/11/18: Inadvertent off/on problem returned. It just flashes off for a second every 10-15 minutes, and you can hear the relay click from the next room. Do not recommend this product. There are far better and less expensive options out there.

My first venture into using our Dot to control a few things. Took a few minutes to set up and I did that twice. Set the smart outlet app up first and the app was ok, It has the on/off action just like a light switch. Next I went to the Skill in Alexa for these plugs, and set them up in Alexas Smart Home settings. All went well, Quality seems excellent, Where I plugged in one it made the outlet a little hard to use the second outlet (my strange plug), I just added a connector, one of those short plugs with 3 places to plug something in and it solved the problem. In playing around as when we are on vacation I dont trust our router to stay on all the time so I use one of those lights on/off timers to reset it in the early AM. I my brilliant thinking, I tried the second plug to see if it would work away from home to reset the router. (bad idea you figure it out, I dont recommend trying it). It is cool that you can control lights or other things remotely using the apps.

Waited to hook up all four and watch for a few days and so, great! App for IOS is easy as can be. I need to experiment and see what happens in a power loss before we go away. A question was emailed me by Amazon before these arrived. CAN THEY FIT WITH ANOTHER PLUG? I ordered these because they appeared to allow room for the other outlet. This turned out to be true, only a larger head plug like the angled ones on some surge protectors do not allow both to fit. Anyway, Ill update this if plugs fail but so far they look like an excellent investment. Dont try to read the skimpy instructions, just scan the code with the phones you want to program and its pretty intuitive (for iPhone, at least) from there. the program looks like it can consolidate smart feature programming and makes it easy to review current schedules by day of week.

Set up was very simple. -1star for requiring you to set up an additional app. -1 star for not allowing you to utilize the switch as well. I wanted to use this for our bedroom lights (lamps) which plug in to an outlet controlled by a switch. I understand that the unit obviously couldnt work if the switch is off, but Id like to be able to come into the room and flip the switch to turn them on. Instead when you flip the switch the lights stay off, then you have to wait about 10 seconds and ask Alexa to turn on the lights. Kind of obnoxious. I wanted to be able to flip them on with the switch, then after rading in bed or something be able to turn them off via voice control. The base setting on this outlet when it receives power is off, whereas if it were on or setting adjustable this unit would be great.

This is the second kinds of plugs I ordered to go with my echo dot. First kind I could not get set up, these set up so easily. And Alexa does just what I want her to do with them. Will be ordering more

I work nights. A lot of times its dark when I get home. Its nice to turn a light on so Im not walking in in the dark. I dont like to leave a light on all day, so Im able to turn it on right before I walk in my apt.

They work great! I love the schedule capability. Only problem is they are a little difficult to set up. Great Price at $15 each compared to others out there. Small footprint too.
