Wii Play with Wii Remote

We bought this because it came with the remote and its actually a pretty good game! I would recommend it to others, but purely because we only ended up paying $10 more than the remote to get the game as well. Im not sure if its worth much more than that, but I think wii knew this when they created the game as well :) Anyways, I would get this game with the remote to see the variety of things that the wii can do and to play duckhunt :)

We bought our Wii with Wii Sports Resort, and just got Wii Play. Wii Play isnt nearly as fun. The games are OK. My 10 yr old niece likes to play this game more than my husband and I do. Im still happy I bought it just because it came with an extra remote. Wii Play has a nice variety of games... but I really only like two of them. With all the other games we have that I think are fantastic, I dont think well be using this one very often.

We bought it because of the controller, so we cannot say anything yet about the games. We live out of the U.S., and it is cheaper like this no matter how you put it. The games included, if they are wonderful or not so wonderful, will be just fine, since we consider it a bonus! The controller is performing greatly.

This purchase is almost too easy. You get a remote control for the Wii and a gamepack. Granted, the games are by no stretch of the imagination hit releases, but they are some good classics made to Wii format. Duck hunt? Yes! Pool? Awkward, but fun! Ping pong? Yao! If this package included the Wii remote attachment piece, it would have been the perfect set. Remote, attachment and a game - all for a very reasonable price. Now, Wii technology is getting a bit long in the tooth, but the games are still pretty fun and honestly, it is the first console to incorporate motion into gaming, so it should get kudos just for that. Overall, the games arent stellar, but fun - the remote is a nice bonus and the price is hard to beat. And to ensure you know what you are getting - this is a real licensed Wii remote, not some generic knockoff that will stop working after 2-3 uses. If youve been looking for another remote and fun way to kill a day inside with the family - get this gamepack and play to your hearts content.

I bought this because it was the same price as just purchasing a Wiimote. I figured we were bound to get one good game out of it. I was right! For the most part, these games are quite good. There are 8 games, including: a variation on Duck Hunt (from the original NES system), Pool, Table Tennis (which was somewhat difficult to get used to and not very impressive), a tank/shooting game (not too impressed by this one either), a cow racing game (hilarious!), two different matching/dexterity games, and a fishing game (which we have yet to figure out). All of the games allow you to use the full functionality of the Wiimote (and sometimes the nunchuk). Its totally worth it. Even if you only end up liking one of the games, its the same price as just getting the controller. Go for it!

amazon shipped this really quick to me when i expect stock to be low, but there seems to be more wii play available than i thought around retailers. initially i wanted to get another wiimote but for $10 more i would spend it for a game like wii sports, full of mini games. unfortunately there can only be 2 players playing at the same time but the games might not work as well with more players.. i think the games are fun whether or not they fully make use of the unique features of the wiimote + nunchuk or attachment. the last game with tanks is addicting to me and difficult ! since these are mini games they can get boring easily, so keep playing but not too much and its still fun ! like other people have mentioned, this is a good deal if you just want another controller.

I bought this for my husband and he and my daughters play this all the time. The Wii is an incredible toy to begin with. But, the games that come with this remote are hilarious. They especially love the skeet shooting game (the end where the aliens show up and try to take the people away has us cracking up every time!). But, my favorite is watching them do the cow races. Too funny! If you have a Wii you NEED this extra remote and cool game disc.

I expected the Wii Play add-on game pack to complement the Wii Sports games included with the Wii console, and to compare favorably with the high quality of the sports games. The Play games are no better than OK, since they dont have the engaging novelty and physicality of the sports games. Only the Billiards game approaches that benchmark, but is not very easy to learn to play since the training is not nearly as comprehensive as provided with Sports. (The physics simulation is very good in billiards... maybe a pool cue add-on would help.) The remaining games are not very well matched to the physical Wii interface (i.e., the remote). Ping pong is especially frustrating, and it just seems like the software needs a revision to improve the experience. Obviously, a second Wii Remote is a good addition, but I could pretty much skip the games ... even at the relatively inexpensive bundle price. My 11 year old son is less critical and likes the arcade style games well enough, though he has had a very hard time learning the motion required in billiards and ping pong (but had no trouble in Wii Sports). Overall, well be playing the Play bundle a lot less than the Sports bundle.

I previously had a PS2. Going from that to the Wii, Im not impressed. I bought the Wii for more family play time. I cannot get the wife to play it. My son really likes it. He is 8. He likes several of the games on this disk. I couldnt care less about it. I cant wait until it gets warm outside again so we can go out and do stuff as a family.

We purchased the wii console for Christmas for our kids and since it only came with one controller, we purchsed this game because it came with the additional remote, the game was fun and the kids enjoy it, the games are not as intense as some of the other wii games but its pretty fun; the only drawback is only two players can play at a time.
