> 24 hourI started building my smart home system with an outdoor Wi-on triple socket set for remotely controlling Christmas lighting. That device is still in use after three years and working well. The dual-channel device is similar quality and easy to connect to Alexa and the Wion app. As with other smart home products, your mileage may vary depending on the quality of your local wi-fi network. Local interference or obstructions can make the device not work as intended. Search Youtube to find videos on how to improve your wi-fi. In my case, I was able to add an outdoor weatherproof access point and that helps keep this product online and working.

> 24 hourWorks great. I use it to turn on the block heater for my diesel pickup. My only problem has been between the chest freezer and block heater on the circuit it adds just enough amps to the GFI that it will trip sometimes. Not sure if its because of the extra plug connection in the mix, some corrosion on the plugs involved, or the tiny amount of power this thing draws. Gonna clean up the plug ends and put dielectric grease on them to see if it helps. If not Ill go pick up a GFI with a higher current rating.

> 24 hourOverall it works well. The physical form factor is a bit bulky and the short cable length works better in some locations but not in others as it just dangles from the outlet. The phone app (Android) could be simpler and could certainly make better use of smart phone screen space. The UI designers try to hard to make their own interface rather than stick to typical Android UI/menu features. I have three of the plug-ins and I can only see two at a time on the screen. They use an icon to represent each plug in and the icon is about the same size as an Android app icon so in theory I should be able to see up to 20 of them on one screen. As more companies make smart plugs, light bulbs etc I expect there will be a lot of innovation in this space both in the industrial design of the physical plugs and in the UIs to manage them. One can only hope that in the long run there will be standardization so that you can control and manage all of these devices with a common interface. I will hate to have to maintain numerous apps to control all my smart devices but suspect we are a long way from such commonality.

> 24 hourI had the same difficulties other reviewers expressed, in setting up this plug-in. I reset it about five times, and re-installed the WiOn phone app a couple of times before I got it all to work. As others have commented, I had the same issues with the ambiguous printed directions. Once programmed, I installed the plug-in at a sheltered outdoor outlet, so far it is working correctly. Time will tell...

> 24 hourWorked great for a while, then we had to unplug and re-plug several times a week to get it to connect with Alexa. This week NONE of the 3 we have worked with Alexa and would not connect no matter what we tried. Checked the WiOn app and saw several people had the same problem starting THIS week. No longer compatible with Alexa. I ordered 3 OTHER brand plugs that I have had success with. LOOK ELSEWHERE!! If you are OK with just using the WiOn app it works fine. We bought specifically on the promise to work with Alexa. *UPDATE: Returned these plugs and purchased the Kasa plugs. SO easy to I install and work like a charm with Alexa! Also, BOTH plugs on each unit can be controlled separately. ( Not so with the WiOn plugs.)

> 24 hourI purchase this item because I couldnt plug both my sprinkler and landscape lighting into the same outdoor plug on my home. I saw this on a few videos, and thought is was cool. Works like a charm on the outside of my home and seems to hold up great after a few rains. I dont use the wifi but this would come in handy if I wanted to turn things on/off via the app. I find this to be a great outdoor solution when the standard electric box does not accommodate 2 plugs.

> 24 hourI use these with outdoor heated snow mats, which add up to nearly 15 amps so it handles a heavy load well. The iPhone app has many features and works well once set up, but getting it set up may require reviewing comments from other users 1st. There is an extra step to enable remote access (called Cloud access so they function when youre not on the same WiFi network, i.e. Cellular), and if you have multiple phones you want to control them with, you need to go through the setup process on each device. Once set up it does work well with Alexa/Echo, but again youll need to review the comments from prior users (Hint: Name the controller with a single word name otherwise Alexa/Echo wont see it) and if you have multiple switches the Alexa/Echo group feature allows you to easily turn them all on/off with a single command. Ive used the 1st for an entire season and purchased more for this year as I added more heated mats around the house.

> 24 hourLasted just over 90 days, of course no warranty. Don’t waste your time go to a local home center and buy from them. They have a longer guarantee than this seller. If you’re going to make a product it needs to last more than 90 days especially if it’s supposed to be for outdoor application, which is the whole purpose why I purchased it Buyer beware.

> 24 hourUPDATE: Thanks to a review from another person, I finally figured out how to make mine work with alexa. The key is the plug needs to have a 1 word name (in WiOn app). If you use 2 words, it wont connect to alexa. Now that its working with alexa, its a great product. The company isnt great though. No support and their iOS app is the worst UI ive ever seen. Original review: Use this for my x-mas lights on the patio. Now I can turn them on and off without going outside to plug/unplug it, which is awesome. I use the timer usually. Only issue is that Alexa wont find the device, so I cannot use voice commands. I have the skills connected, but the device wont be found.

> 24 hourBought my outdoor connector 2 years ago. It controls my 100+ feet of outdoor Christmas lightening and decorations for almost 2 month of the year (late November to early January). It Works flawlessly. This year I was surprised that after being disconnected and stored away with the decoration; the unit was able to reconnect to the home wireless network without me reconfiguring it. I plugged in the outlet, it blink rapidly like searching for the wireless SSID and connected without a problem. I like the application too. I have it installed on my IPhone and IPad devices. I find it to be user friendly and very flexible with the editing and scheduling of events. I also own one of their light switches which I used to control my front porch lighting. I have been using the switch every day for almost 3 years. It has lost connection to the home wireless 2 times, due to prolonged power outage in my nations capital city. To reconnect it to the home wireless, I just pressed the reset button in the unit with a toothpick, the unit blinks blue for a few it then stops blinking and the light becomes a solid blue indicating that the unit is connected to the home Wi-Fi. It is a well made product. I will buy it again and recommen it. NOone has payed/given me anything for my comment.
