Lasted just over 90 days, of course no warranty. Don’t waste your time go to a local home center and buy from them. They have a longer guarantee than this seller. If you’re going to make a product it needs to last more than 90 days especially if it’s supposed to be for outdoor application, which is the whole purpose why I purchased it Buyer beware.

I followed the instructions to the letter. My internet router is the model WiOn suggested works the best. My switch could never find my internet router. Important note: to reset the switch, you have to also TURN OFF THE WION APP to start completely over fresh. Now the switch works great.

Correction! I restarted(rebooted) my router and like magic all devices reappeared on my app. Hope this is helpful to others. Today two years after purchase all 5 of mine are none functioning. Interesting they all went out at the same time. Tried reset as instructed, but will not connect to my router. All other devices, Nests cameras and all other wifi devices work. Worked great when it worked. Hope I can find a better quality and reliable brand. Very disappointed!!

This was easy to set up and is easy to use. The only problem that I have is that it is not accessible from outside of your home wifi network. I use this on my covered back porch to turn my string lights on and off instead of having to unplug them each time. I am looking into buying another one for my front porch. EDIT: 2 years later and I am still using this. I have it set to turn on some porch lights on my front porch every day at 6pm and turn off at 11 every night. This has been used daily for 2 years and works perfectly.

Overall it works well. The physical form factor is a bit bulky and the short cable length works better in some locations but not in others as it just dangles from the outlet. The phone app (Android) could be simpler and could certainly make better use of smart phone screen space. The UI designers try to hard to make their own interface rather than stick to typical Android UI/menu features. I have three of the plug-ins and I can only see two at a time on the screen. They use an icon to represent each plug in and the icon is about the same size as an Android app icon so in theory I should be able to see up to 20 of them on one screen. As more companies make smart plugs, light bulbs etc I expect there will be a lot of innovation in this space both in the industrial design of the physical plugs and in the UIs to manage them. One can only hope that in the long run there will be standardization so that you can control and manage all of these devices with a common interface. I will hate to have to maintain numerous apps to control all my smart devices but suspect we are a long way from such commonality.

In short, I am very happy with this purchase and would buy it again. The reason I took off 1 star is that although the outlet works just fine and is reasonably priced, the whole idea of a smart outlet is to be able to be controlled via an app. Since most people will buy this first, then download or even look at the app after receiving it, I thought this might be helpful for people to be aware of the one shortcoming I found. My use case was very simple, though probably fairly common for most people looking for an outdoor smart outlet, controlling Xmas lights. I simply wanted them to go on at sunset, and go off at a predetermined time, like 1am. At least with the Android version of the app for this, it isnt possible. You can do on at sunset, off at sunrise (which seems excessive to have Xmas lights on at 4 am), or you can turn on at a certain time and off at a certain time, but cannot combine the 2. Other than that small issue, everything works fine. It pairs fairly easily, and works like it is supposed to.

I use these with outdoor heated snow mats, which add up to nearly 15 amps so it handles a heavy load well. The iPhone app has many features and works well once set up, but getting it set up may require reviewing comments from other users 1st. There is an extra step to enable remote access (called Cloud access so they function when youre not on the same WiFi network, i.e. Cellular), and if you have multiple phones you want to control them with, you need to go through the setup process on each device. Once set up it does work well with Alexa/Echo, but again youll need to review the comments from prior users (Hint: Name the controller with a single word name otherwise Alexa/Echo wont see it) and if you have multiple switches the Alexa/Echo group feature allows you to easily turn them all on/off with a single command. Ive used the 1st for an entire season and purchased more for this year as I added more heated mats around the house.

I have two of these. One for outdoor lights, the other for a water fountain. Every day they come in, every day at the set time, they turn off. You loose power and restore, and all settings stay saved. If you would like to manually turn them ON or OFF, just open the app and tap the button. It is a head turner on any back yard party!!! I WOULD BUY IT AGAIN AND RECOMMEND ANYTIME!

I ordered two, not knowing what to expect based on prior reviews and hoping they would work at the distance I needed. They worked perfectly! I like the app, though selecting one to program when you have multiple is not intuitive, but once you figure it out, easy enough. The app allows for multiple times to turn on. I used them for outdoor Christmas lights. This was a great choice!

This 15A outlet is Wi-Fi controlled so I can turn it on an off using an app on my phone. I can also control it using my voice with Amazon Alexa and if my network goes down for some reason I can control it with an onboard switch. A great and versatile addition to my life.
