> 3 dayI started building my smart home system with an outdoor Wi-on triple socket set for remotely controlling Christmas lighting. That device is still in use after three years and working well. The dual-channel device is similar quality and easy to connect to Alexa and the Wion app. As with other smart home products, your mileage may vary depending on the quality of your local wi-fi network. Local interference or obstructions can make the device not work as intended. Search Youtube to find videos on how to improve your wi-fi. In my case, I was able to add an outdoor weatherproof access point and that helps keep this product online and working.

> 3 dayThis was easy to setup and install. I installed two different ones and they both are working, grouped together and controlled by Alexa. The only issue I had was I tried to put a 3 way splitter on one of the plugs (as I have 3 extension cables running Christmas Lights). It would only allow for 2 of them to work with the splitter. However, if I plugged in an extension cord and then put the splitter at the end of the cord, it worked like a champ. Hopefully its not pushing the limits on what it can handle. As mentioned, the setup was easy. Just use the online setup within the application to help you setup Alexa as theres no Alexa instructions in the printed instructions that came with it. The app was a little quirky when you have multiple outlets, However, the price of the outdoor outlets were well worth it. And now that Alexa controls it, dont really need the app for much anyway.

> 3 dayGreat product to control landscaping lights remotely and programming them to automatically turn on at sunset and off at sunrise. Once programmed, you can forget about it. I like products that you forgot about because they don’t give you any problems. 5 month update: Both units continue to perform flawlessly. They have weathered through many AZ monsoon storms and driving rain with no problems. Thinking of buying a third unit to control a UV bug catcher. In Arizona my power utility charges double rates from 3-6pm, so I’m thinking of setting up the bug catcher to turn off from 3-6pm. Highly recommend.

> 3 dayI wanted to add lights to our backporch pergola, but didnt have easy access to any way to tap into the existing power that comes off of our switch that controls the other exterior lights. This little guy made for an easy solution of just running a new outlet down from the second floor to the top of the pergola and using the WiOn to control the lights instead of a physical switch. It works perfectly! The setup took under two minutes, and the app fires up on my phone instantly and always finds the device right away. This is my first piece of home automation and its pretty easy to geek out at how cool it is to be able to control my lighting from the middle of the backyard when it starts to get dark. Ive had this running outside in all sorts of weather for more than a month and have had no issues. Couldnt be happier with the product.

> 3 dayI followed the instructions to the letter. My internet router is the model WiOn suggested works the best. My switch could never find my internet router. Important note: to reset the switch, you have to also TURN OFF THE WION APP to start completely over fresh. Now the switch works great.

Greater than one weekI purchased three of these as single devices since they were out of the bundle pack and received them yesterday. They were easy to connect to Alexa and have a pretty good wifi range. I am using them for Christmas lights and it makes it very convenient to turn them on and off with Alexa instead of the old wireless remote devices I had. The batteries for the old ones were $5-6 each. The only two things I would ask for is to add the usage functionality to them as the competitors have and to add it to the IFTTT app. With IFTTT, you can trigger the devices to turn on and off at sunset and sunrise, just like the competitors do. I bought these for price and function since the competitors dont seem to have an outdoor unit available. It seems like a great product.

> 3 dayI got this item to control the outdoor ground/pathway lights in my backyard. I have and old power supply for the lights but all it can do is turn the lights on or off. I need adjustment for daylight savings time. So instead of buying a new power supply. I got one of these. It works great! I now plug the power supply into this and then into the outlet. The app is good and easy to set up. With the app there are many different options for turning lights on and off. I cant try the Alexa part of things because I dont have one. Sorry. Great product would buy again if need to.

Greater than one weekThis review is for the Wifi enabled, WiOn 2 plug outlet. On this unit, as well as the three outlet garden stake by WiOn, the outlets can NOT be controlled individually. Which is why I am marking down a star. After all, what is the point in all outlets being on the same timer on a so called smart device?! Other then that issue, hookup is easy and similar to any of the other wifi enabled devices nowadays. Was disappointed that there is not a quick way (that I have found) to just turn the item plugged in on for a little longer if you are staying up later for instance, without changing your settings. But, it isnt hard to change the settings so perhaps Im getting a little too lazy with the conveniences.
