Edit** spoke with support again. They apologized, stating the previous texh was confused about my issue. Then they tried to hook me saying they charge for assistance. Nice. Worked fine the first couple seasons, now wont connect and customer service is poor. Customer support number not picked up. They used a chat session to cue tech support to call. Though my app and device were not connected, they ensured me my network was not secure. They further insisted, until I asked where they are getting this information. Would not answer question, then line went dead. Really liked them at first. Now, not so much.

I now have four of these and regret buying them. They worked ok with an old wifi router I had. The connections were always a little temperamental though. UPDATE: I bought a new router, a top of the line, top rated TP-Link model that is great. I have fast, strong connections with as many devices as I need. BUT... the WiON outlets are not really working with it. I tried both the 2.4 and 5 GHz and at best I get one of them connected, sometimes two. But then its always a mystery which ones will appear in the app when I open it. Half the time its none, sometimes one, and on a very rare occasion two. And Im using the same iPhone on the same wifi, and using the 2.4 GHz connection. Some of them just will not connect no matter what, so they are essentially useless. I can no longer program them because I cant connect to them. DO NOT BUY THESE if you plan on controlling them using your phone, which is really the only reason to buy them.

I bought this outlet in Oct 2016 and it worked perfectly up to today. We had a very brief power outage in our area and it never came back on. Followed all the instructions and still no power. I expected this to work at least as long as the lights and pump on the circuit lasted. Oh well, looking for another device.

I have been using this Wi-Fi plug for more than a month now and I am very happy with it. The Wi-Fi plug is working fine even when there was raining continuously for more than 2 days. The Android-App was a bit confusing in the first few minutes to set it up, after watching a youtube video it became very easy and now I have I setup a timer schedule and this Wi-Fi plug is coming up on and shutting down perfectly at the scheduled timings. Very happy with the product.

Very easy to set up and works like a charm. Would like for it to work with Apple Home Kit but the app itself is very easy to use.

Missing the ground steak can I get a replacement part.

The device is OK but the app has very poor UX. Graphics quality is subpar. Most of all setup does not work with Android 8 & 7. I had to dig up an old tablet with Android 6 in order for the app to be able to see routers (aka wifi networks) that are around. Then only could I set the device up. Once setup, controlling the device works fine with Android 8 & 7.

This thing is a piece of junk. It won’t reliably connect to my WiFi, even though I know my WiFi works well. I have the WiOn single outdoor plug, and it works great. This item though loses connection once you are about 10 feet away. I tried 3 separate units, thinking maybe I got a couple of duds, but each time it would not work as advertised, or at all. I am hoping I can get my money back for the one I did not open right away, and whose return window closed before I could test it out. If you want a reliable WiFi switch, use their single outdoor plug product.

I’ve had it running for a few years now with no issues. Great product that lasts and does what it says. I have it outside hooked up to my outdoor lighting so I can control the lights with my phone. It works great and stays hooked up to my network. I’m really impressed with how it has held up. I used an older iPhone & now the iPhone X and it has always worked for me.

Works absolutely amazing. I set up in 10 minutes. Its so simple. I have 4 outdoor lights i ran to the front of my house using a 150 foot extention cord, i plugged the end into the WiOn yard stake and bingo now my lights go onnand off with the push of a button on my phone or with the timer which is equally as easy to set up. A must buy! The app is amazingly simple and works great.
