> 24 hourNice hammocks (my first ever hammocks, so nothing to compare it against) Im over 300# and it took my weight with no problem. I purchased 4 doubles for me and me kids, and I love that it has all of these color options. To help get my kids be excited, I was able to get three of them i. Their favorite colors, so I dont have to worry about the argument over which kne belongs to who. Look at the bag, grab yours and go. My only real issue is with the straps. They work fine, they are functional, but they only have 5 loops to hook onto, so this puts you in a very specific distance for you to hang up. We took two test runs before an overnight trip tomorrow, and the second trip was hard to find a hook up. Everything was either JUST too close or JUST too far apart. But if wed had a few more loops, wed have had exponentially more options. Not a crisis, but, knowing what I know now, I would have just ordered the XL straps to go with, or Id have been willing to pay a few extra dollars per hammock to have the straps included instead of the base straps. From what Ive been able to tell, every hammock manufacturer is this way, so not necessarily a Wise Owl issue. Otherwise, I think these are a great investment. Paired with sleeping pads and wool blankets, we all took an hour+ nap at the lake with 15-20 mph winds in the low 40s and we were all comfortable. Once if find my trees, I can have the whole rig (including a cover tarp) up in 20 minutes and have it all packed out in 10. May invest in an under quilt down the road, well see how it goes.

> 24 hourNice material and looks like it will hold up some big folks in my house. Bought a cotton one from Amazon and it went right back and this one stayed. Dries fast when wet which is a plus

> 24 hourI typically never leave reviews, but this hammock deserves to be recognized. Let me start by saying that if you dont want to read the whole review and youre looking at this hammock and youre on the fence about whether or not to buy it, buy it right now -- you will not be disappointed, if youre over 62 and/or over 180lbs, I would strongly suggest getting the double and not the single. For the price I dont think youll ever be able to find a hammock that can rival it in quality or comfort. Full review: Before moving forward there are two things that should be kept in mind 1.) this is my first single hammock 2.) Ive only had the hammock for a few weeks so my time with it is limited. I do however have a Grand Trunk double ($70) that Ive had for nearly a year now that ill be comparing to the Wise Owl ($26). My friends also have ENOs, so im familiar with them as well. BUILD QUALITY: 5/5 : The stitching is superb, no fraying, no popped stitches, no corners were cut when constructing this hammock. The colors are also top notch, true to the pictures that are posted here on amazon. If anything the hammock colors may actually look better in person. When compared to my Grand Trunk (GT) its hard to say which is built better, due to the relative newness of the Wise Owl (WO). That said, when my GT first arrived their was some fraying at each end of the parachute where the material ends and meets the exposed cords. It should be noted that the fraying has not hindered the strength of the GT. Ive taken it backpacking in Colorado and Michigan and allowed my younger cousins an nephew play around in it and the GT still doesnt even have so much as a snag or run in the material, but at a $70 price tag I would expect better craftsmanship out of the box. The cheaper WO is cosmetically perfect and therefore wins as far as aesthetics, and my hanging experience with it so far indicates that the WO is just as strong and durable as the GT. (for strength perspective, ive had a total of 340lbs in the GT with no issue, and ive had appox. 250lbs in the WO with 20mph winds and 30mph gust and the hammock remained solid despite the sway). COMFORT: 3/5 : OK my size DEFINITELY comes into play here. Im a 64 210lbs male and width wise it was noticeably cramp. The material of the hammock is exactly what youd expect from other mid-ranged ($50-$80) hammocks, but this WO hammock only costs a mere $26 so youre getting quality material at literally a 1/2 or 1/3 of the cost. The material is soft, comfy, and breathable. And I can hear it now yeah, but is it as soft and comfy as my ENO? To you I say, yes, the material was just as comfy as an ENO. In fact, 3 sorority girls who were stacked 3 ENOs high right next to me all agreed that they were mad that they bought their ENOs after I asked each of them to try mine so I could have their opinion. They werent mad because their ENO was uncomfortable, but because you can get the same level of comfort for half the price. Now for the reason I took off a star and rated the comfort a 3 -- for someone my size the 46 width just doesnt cut it, my shoulders were being forced inwards towards my chest in nearly every position i laid in, which really ruins the experience for me. My GT double obviously had none of these space issue but its not really fair to compare the two. The WO double has the same dimensions as the GT double so I can assume it would be just as luxurious. PRICE: 5/5 : Are there other hammocks that are cheaper? Yeah. Are the other cheaper brands quality just as good? Its hard to say, I havent seen or used their products. What I will say is that I have found no other company that offers such a high quality product with such a wide variety of color options at the price point that Wise Owl is at. For this reason I dont see any reason to buy any other brand. OVERALL : for me 4/5 : for the average person 5/5 : If youre in the market for a double, dont hesitate and buy a Wise Owl double. I know I will when Im in the market for a new double. If youre a girl, or a guy who is under 62 and/or under 180lbs then the single will probably work fine for you. If youre around my size and need a single then, and I hate to do this Wise Owl, but Im going to recommend the Grand Trunk single. Yes, the GT single is more expensive, but you get 6 extra inches of width which for me is worth it. Wise Owl, if youre reading this, PLEASE make a single XL that gives an extra 6 inches or foot of width, make it 30 or 35 dollars and i would buy it in a heartbeat.

> 24 hourOur family has purchased 5 of these (both double and single). They are a much better value than Eno and I think better made as well. Order the tree straps from Wise Owl Outfitters (WOO) too as they are a much better way to hang your hammock (your ease of use goes way up when trees arent placed perfectly for you by nature, and they support a lot of weight and go up really fast). We use them for hiking and chilling out in nature and at home... but one of my sons has camped in one with good results (for a hammock). The double is almost too big for one person use (you can do it, but, the edges of the hammock tend to form a cocoon over you when only one person is in it - most double hammocks are like this and some folks like that for sleeping... I found you could position your knees and overcome that problem when just chilling out in nature in a double when you are only one person). The single is just right for one person (obviously why they name them that way... but I think this is good to know when you are shopping). The product is lightweight, durable, strong, good stitching, great colors and materials choices by WOO. Dont waste your money on an Eno.

> 24 hourAbsolute love it! My new loft apartment complex has hammock hookups on the property and I needed to get my own to hookup and this has worked out perfectly. Very comfortable and sturdy. Would highly recommend to all those in the market for a hammock swing to hookup wherever!

> 24 hourGreat product! WE have used these for several campouts and adventures and have just hung them up in the back yard for a lazy Sunday afternoon. We have loved them for the whole family. Also we had a small issue with one of the straps, it was user error on my part I think, they replaced the strap no questions asked.

> 24 hourI got this for my nephew. Its identical to my own, which Ive had for a year now. I used to have a typical rope hammock, and was initially skeptical of this parachute one. It seemed too confining, unlike the rope one. But I was wrong. After a little experience, I discovered that this Wise Owl hammock was MORE versatile than the old rope one, that is, it allows for even more movement and positioning. Of course, what is MOST versatile about this hammock is that you can take it anywhere, easily. It takes about 5 minutes to take down and pack, and about 5 minutes to unpack and put up. I take it to the beach with me, but usually it just hangs in the front yard. I go to it many times throughout the day. Its just such a nice place to be (c: Quality-wise, it seems topnotch. Its been a year that Ive had it. More importantly than that, though, is that I use it a lot. I feel like it will last many more summers. And for 25-30 bucks? I mean, if hammocks are your thing, then this is a real steal. Its a family business, too, which is cool. Good job, Wise Owl!
