I ordered this because my son keeps slamming doors. I will be purchasing more. This prevent him from doing so and he can’t reach it if he wanted to take it out.

I wanted to wait a while before writing a review, but my initial reaction to these pinch guards hasnt changed in the several months since we started using them. These are the best! Such a simple concept and yet so very useful. I like that you can easily remove and reinstall in seconds - just pull it off the door and pop it back on. No pinched fingers, or accidental lock-ins, and theyve reduced the noise of toddler door slams to a dull thud. I can put these finger pinch guards up high enough on the doors that my toddler cant reach them and these are a much easier and cheaper option than replacing all of our locking bedroom and bathroom door knobs with non-locking ones.

These are great for keeping my little one from closing the door on his fingers; however, now I need to find something that will protect him from the hinge side of the door.

These work great for keeping our cat from getting locked out of rooms in the house. We installed them at the top edge of the door so they are out of the way. Just wish they were more durable - we’re starting to see dents in the foam where the door rests on the frame.

This does keep little fingers front getting smashed in does, but they dont stay in place long at all. After 2 or 3 pumps on this thing and it dislodges. I constantly have to reset it on the door, so at this point its just a hassle. Ill deal with it until I find something better. Good in theory though.

I am using them in the rooms that my little one plays in a lot, like her bedroom and the hall closet that my older kids constantly forget to close so my baby is in there all the time too. They work very well to keep my little one from smashing her fingers when she closes the door. They also work to keep the door from shutting all the way. My baby likes to open and close the door over and over and with the guards keeping it from closing all the way it saves us from having to open it 100 times a day.

I use to use a version of these when my son, who is now 16, was small. I had giving them away to friends, once I was done, for them to use for their pets so they would not get locked into a room by a door closing, etc. I recently developed a need for them again when I purchased my front loading washing machine. The door is to be left a jarred when not in use but with my laundry room being in the room coming in from the garage, the door keeps getting closed. So I was happy to find these on Amazon so I could use them on the washing machine door to prevent it from being closed. They work great.

Just make sure you place it high enough that the toddler can’t remove it.

Our toddler likes to close doors. This can be put high enough on the door so she cant reach and pull it off but she also cant close the door all the way either so its pretty awesome! No smashed little fingers of trapped babies!
