> 3 dayI bought these bc my 2 year old started slamming doors. These lasted about a week before splitting. They are foam. I would say if your getting these just for accidental shutting theyre fine but they werent sturdy enough for my issue.

> 3 dayI am using the 4 pinch guards on all of our bedroom doors (infants, 3 1/2 year olds and mine and my husbands room as well as the kids bathroom). I put them high up, within my reach on the side of the doors so I can have quick access to them if I need to take them off (nap time, bed time). I use them because my 3 1/2 year old loves to slam doors when he has a temper tantrum and has slammed his hand in bathroom door when he tries to close it all the way. The guards allow the doors to close with a big enough gap so his fingers don’t get caught but small enough so the door doesn’t feel wide open. The material is wonderful because it doesn’t make any noise when closed on or when installing or taking off and is very durable. When I take it off the door, I put it on the handle for storage and it fits perfect until i want to put it on again. It fits snug on the door so it won’t fall off but I can take it off with one hand while holding my infant and put it back on.

> 3 dayThese are a great idea. They work as intended and are easy to use. I just wish they were a little sturdier. My 4 year old had a tantrum and tried slamming the door 5 or 6 times and was able to tear one within 5 minutes of install. Otherwise when they aren’t being pushed to their limit of use they work great at preventing the average door closure from pinching fingers.

> 3 dayThe Little one in my house has four legs and meows! My cat loves to shut doors and then proceeds to cry about being locked in (or out of a room). Normally its not a huge deal because someone is home to let her out, but when everyone is at work, she can only stay in a room so long before she has an accident. I love these door stoppers. They were super easy to install-just slide right on the door. I was able to put them up high up on the door so they are virtually unnoticeable. If, for some reason, I need to remove them to shut the door, they slide right off, no marks, nothing. My cat actually enjoys these because they cause the door to bounce a bit when she shuts the door, so she has found a new toy.

Greater than one weekThese are a great fix for doors that you want to keep opened, but your toddler has the habit of closing/slamming doors. They are foam pads that hug the door at a height that your toddler cannot reach. You will not be able to close a door with this installed. I keep these on my toddlers rooms during the day to allow easy in, easy out access for the kids, but a finger saver in slammed doors and it also prevent a toddler from accidently locking themselves in a room. At night, the stoppers can be easily removed and hung on the door knob to allow the door to close.

> 3 dayI am mostly using these in my babies room right now on the door when we go in for nap prep and/or diaper changes. They are a year old and just started playing with the door - which also includes swinging it open/closed - so the timing of this product couldn’t have been more perfect! So I’ll pop one on the door above the door knob whenever we go in there. Its easy to do quickly with one hand, and pop it off on my way out. And full disclosure, an extra one is used as a squishy distraction during diaper changes. Whatever works these days, honestly!

> 3 dayLiked the design, only issue was the adhesive for the wall was not strong enough to hold my 109-pound dog back so the first time the dog can downstairs she easily pushed the door open, pulling the adhesive along with paint right off the wall. (We own our home so not an issue for us and then my husband used super glue and now it is holding fine!) We use it to keep dogs and toddlers away from the stairs to the second floor-his head was too big to fit through but the cats went through easily to get to their litter box - keeping babies and dogs out! Very pleased!

> 3 dayThis does keep little fingers front getting smashed in does, but they dont stay in place long at all. After 2 or 3 pumps on this thing and it dislodges. I constantly have to reset it on the door, so at this point its just a hassle. Ill deal with it until I find something better. Good in theory though.

07-06-2025These pinch guards are just what we needed to prevent our daughter from slamming doors shut and, more importantly, from slamming her fingers in a door. The product itself is simple: a slightly flexible c-shaped piece of white foam which you simply attach to the edge of a door you dont want slammed shut. It pinches the door edge and holds itself in place, so you can attach it anywhere along the top or side of the door (but of course if you attach it low on the door your little one may just pull it off). They are easy to place, remove, and reposition, and they do NOT leave any sort of mark or residue on your door. NOTE: Where you place these on your doors is important. They will prevent a door from closing regardless of where you place them on the door, preventing fingers from being pinched on the handle/knob edge of the door. But if you are worried about fingers getting pinched on the hinge side of the door (which would probably cause a fractured finger), you would need to place these on the top of the door close enough to the hinges to prevent the door from closing very much at all. For the door of our daughters bedroom this is a very real possibility, so we have to position these pinch guards accordingly.

> 3 dayWe live on the Pacific Coast and as such have very strong ocean breezes and like having our windows open. Occasionally, we’ll get doors slamming due to a sudden gust. We’ve tried several brands and types of protectors. The foam most of them are made of is flimsy and starts tearing after prolonged usage. You never can be sure when it’ll fail. We finally found this brand and are happy. The density and overall quality of the foam used in these is far superior to anything else we’ve tried. They don’t fall apart and they don’t fall off. They cling tightly to our doors and offer a very important protection for our family. Kudos on an excellent product.
