> 3 dayWhen I read that the guards were made out of foam I wasnt sure what I was going to be receiving. While testing out the product I was pleasantly surprised at how thick the foam pieces were and after trying repeatedly to slam one of our doors in both the side and top positioning as suggested I was pleasantly surprised at how well it held up to the slamming and pulling of the door onto the guard. I noticed that the guards had indentations on them when I took them off of the door after testing the guards and thought I bet these wont hold up, but a few moments later the indentations had vanished. Currently, my son is only 3 months old so I dont have the opportunity to see how it works with him as of yet, but I have been using it for our dog to help him from becoming stuck in a particular room. Our dog is able to allow himself out of a room that he lingered in after we left the room. Im sure once my son is old enough to play with the door I will be putting these on a few of our doors.

> 3 dayMy 11 month old started walking last month asked as a result had started getting into everything. Just a few days before I ordered these his tiny fingers got accidentally shut in the doors by his sister. I have placed one on each of the bedroom and bathroom doors during the day to make sure his fingers are no longer being smashed. I love that I can place them up as high as I want and I can remove them easily for when I need to shut the doors all the way.

> 3 dayWe have 2 (nosey) cats! I bought these to put on the closet doors so if they want in there, they can go in. My fur babies are not declawed, we trim their nails. They like to lay in the closets and I have a bed in one closet. It is dark and calm in there. I was looking for something that looked better than tennis shoes in each door. These are GREAT! I am sure they would be great for little babies fingers, if I had any.....Thank You

> 3 dayI have seen these save my son some serious pain. They work every time. We are about four years in on ours and they are as good as new, except for the one he tried to eat. It still works but it has some battle damage.

> 3 dayThis does keep little fingers front getting smashed in does, but they dont stay in place long at all. After 2 or 3 pumps on this thing and it dislodges. I constantly have to reset it on the door, so at this point its just a hassle. Ill deal with it until I find something better. Good in theory though.

> 3 dayWe babysit our twin toddler grandchildren once a week. They are both starting to walk and are exploring everything. Shopping for lifes second child proofing cycle I spotted these foam rubber bumpers at a local big-box lumber/hardware store. I liked them so much I went back for more a couple of weeks later but they had disappeared from the shelves and with no apparent plan for restocking them. Shame! So I visited Walmart (they carried them but were out of stock) and several drug store chains. Nothing, so off to the web! I found these at Wittle through Amazon Smile, ordered them, and had them within 3 days. These are made of high-density rubber foam and slide over the end of the door with good grip on smooth paint or varnish. I believe they are closed cell as well which means they are probably washable and wont act like sponges in the unlikely event they get dirty. They provide a good one inch gap between the door and the jamb to protect those tiny fingers. You can locate then anywhere on the door edge and I would recommend mounting them above the toddlers reach. Check to make sure that older door doesnt flex enough to undo the protection if the Guard is installed higher! The Guards pull right off if you need to actually close a door and they are small enough not to take up much space on a shelf or countertop. I suppose we could take ours down weekly to allow them to recover shape, but most of them have been left up since we installed them with no problems. Those that are removed do return to their original shape, and I believe if they ever lost their grip it could be restored with some light sanding of the grip area. They are so simple, effective, and easy to use that I highly recommend them.

Greater than one weekMy cat likes to slam doors. However, when he does, hes stuck inside the room until I rescue him. These keep him from being able to close the doors. The only problem is that when I take them off, he thinks theyre toys and hides them! Im happy to not be awakened during the night to the sound of slamming doors.

> 3 dayI use these to keep my cats from accidentally shutting themselves in or out of rooms. Theyve held up great and are easy to remove and hang on doorknobs when I want doors closed. I wish Id bought them years ago instead of using door stops, stacked books, and other less reliable methods.
