Greater than one weekThe WowWee Fingerlings are the cutest and most fun toy for children 5+. But I have found numerous adults find a tremendous amount of Joy in this beautiful product too. There is a variety of different characters. I received Benny and Cub, a set of Fingerling Tigers that are just delightful. SOUNDS The larger Tiger makes fun tiger sounds and oohs and ahhhhs! The small Tiger does not make any sound. But clip it to the tail of the other tiger, and it is super cute. HOW TO MAKE SOUNDS I leave the tiger clipped to my desk lamp all day, and then I periodically pat it on the head, and it makes noise. Here is also how you can get some noise from it. ~Put your hand in front of its face it chirps, ~Slide your hand down in front of its face, and it sends you a kiss. ~Rock it like a baby, and it coos and then snores and goes to sleep. ~Shake it around, and its heads goes back and forth, and it makes an excellent monkey sound. The box says it makes over 200 sounds, and I managed to get about 50 or so. They are super fun, and the toy is very interactive. A young child will be enamored at the way it coos and laughs! AGE I would not recommend these for small children because the little tiger is tiny and not age-appropriate. BATTERY & CONSTRUCTION The construction of the toy is super durable and made of plastic. They need a battery to spin the head around and make noises, and the battery is inside the back of the toy. There are four screws small screws on the back to open the battery housing, and it is easy to replace. PRICE At the time of my review, this toy was ($14.89). An excellent price for a fun and interactive gift for a child. They will love it!

> 3 dayThe toy is a brand new Christmas gift and does not work properly. It has some kind of glitch that is causing it to get stuck making the same noise or movement on a loop. Imagine a record that is skipping. This is what this toy does. It will get stuck doing something like quickly blinking its eyes nonstop for minutes until you turn it off. Or just twitching its head. Or it will make a sort glitchy noise that endlessly repeats until you turn it off. It is totally disturbing. Our daughter is very upset that her new Christmas toy is behaving this way. When I reached out to customer service via the companys website describing the problem (and requesting a replacement), they sent me back an email that did not respond to ANY of the problems I mentioned. Instead, they said that if the toy was slow to replace the batteries. When I replied with another email describing the problem in more detail (and mentioning the batteries were new) they sent me an email describing how to properly install batteries!!! This is the worst and most useless customer service Ive ever experienced! WowWee apparently has no regard for actually solving a problem with their products and instead just sends meaningless and frustrating emails. The customer service person emailing me is named Andrey F... and I have a distinct feeling that I know what the F stands for (and it is not Fingerlings)!

> 3 dayMy house isn’t very kid friendly, we just haven’t had any younger kids for a while now so I don’t have many things for them to do if someone comes over with kids. It seems I have a few friends with kids in the 2-10 age range now. I thought it would be great to have on hand for if we have company so I don’t just have Netflix to entertain them. The first test was a 5-year-old. She was so excited to open up the package to play with the fingerling as she has a few at home. But this was and I quote “it is so cute, I love it” and she actually *squeed* about the baby that came with it. The best parts for her were the light up hair and the glitter. Apparently little girls LOVE glitter, the sparklier the better. She played with it pretty non stop while they were at my house for about 3-4 hours. So you’d think that the hair that changes colors when they move the toy in different ways or the sounds it makes for kisses and such would be the thing that kids would like the most and she did like them but the feature she liked the most was the tiny baby tiger. After a little while the larger Tiger was abandoned just to play with the smaller cub that didn’t have any special features. Kids… I like that these are small enough I can have a few on hand for the kids the end up at my house. For the 2-8 range they seem to work well for both boys and girls in a pinch but I think they are more geared towards girls and I can’t see an older boy being excited about them. The 5-year old’s little brother is 3 and he had a great time with Sam and Leo, the Baby Lion and Mini. Since each does something a little different, they are super collectable and fun for hours.

> 3 dayOur daughter has several fingerlings including the classic monkey and a dragon, so she was excited to try these new cat fingerlings. Tilly the tiger is cute and comes with a little cub also, the smaller cub isnt interactive but my daughter loves playing with it alongside its mama tiger. These fingerlings are slightly shorter than the other ones which all seemed to use the same form factor but the smaller form factor may be better for kids with smaller hands. The light up hair is a neat feature which I havent seen on other toys of this type before. Fingerlings are generally similar to other electronic character toys like hatchimals, pomsies, wrapples, etc.. but they seem to be a bit more robustly designed than the other mentioned toys. Both of our other fingerlings are over 2 years old and still work perfectly to this day, whereas most of the others only last a few months before they start glitching up or break entirely in our experience.

> 3 dayThese are cute. I actually gave it to my 4 yr old and shes been fine with it (even though the recommended age is 5+). They make cute little sounds and I like the fact that its not super loud like a lot of other kid toys. The toy has a couple different sensors and reacts according to how its touched and in what position its held. The little hair tuft on top of its head lights up from underneath so you dont have to worry about fiber optics poking you. Its eyes also open/close. The feet are coated in glitter which can be slightly rough when sliding over your finger and you end up with little specks of glitter coming off but its not much. There doesnt seem to be much glitter coming off now. The toy can also hang [with its front feet] on the side of baskets/containers. Overall its a cute toy and my daughter is in love with the bonus mini baby that is included.

> 3 dayI stumbled across these little creatures while looking for animal finger puppets with which to amuse my then 15 month old daughter. The first one, a baby giraffe, had many of the same features as this tiger, sans the cub. My daughter is fascinated by the noises and movements. It is too complicated for her to play with herself but she points to it and asks for me to play with it. The squeaking and little movements, including eyelashes batting and eyes opening and closing are captivating to my daughter. The only negative about this fingerling is that, for some reason, the opening for your finger is smaller than on the giraffe, so I am unable to manipulate it as well. Still, these are cute little things that will captivate a small child. Recommended.
