> 24 hourThis is nearly perfect. Its ceramic, is a good height, but it is hollow underneath, making it impossible to wash in a dishwasher, and making it inconvenient for a time-starved family like ours. The manufacturer could have drilled small holes to allow water to drain when its upside down -- much like modern blenders.

> 24 hourMy CHONK cat loves this dish. He actually eats all his food because his whiskers don’t hit the sides. It’s very easy to clean and it’s not cheaply made.

> 24 hourThis is a cute raised bowl, made of ceramic, and my cat is using it ok. I think it has helped her perpetual furrball problem that tended to happen when she would eat on a flat plate or bowl. It is heavy enough not to tip over with a slight touch, but I do find that I need to be extra careful when rinsing it out not to drop it or bang it against anything. Its not really non-slip, and unless I put a silicone mat under it on the counter where she eats, she will push it all around or tip it over. It is certainly more comfortable for her than the flat plates and bowls, just needs to be used with a bit of extra care.

> 24 hourMy 7 year old orange tabby (Simba) began throwing up every time he ate several months ago. After extensive blood and urine tests, the veterinarian was baffled as to what was causing the vomiting. She was thinking about scoping him for a blockage and I dreaded the thought of that. A friend suggested purchasing an elevated food dish for Simba. Hes both a senior and quite large, and I read all sorts of verbiage stating that elevated bowls were particularly effective for senior and/or large cats. As long as I dont give him too much wet food at once, Simba no longer throws up! I am so relieved that we didnt put him through an invasive procedure.

> 24 hourMy Siamese, Molly, is now 13 years old. Several years ago, all of her teeth had to be removed because of a periodontal disease prone to Siamese breeds. So she eats little bits of dried food but prefers shredded wet food. I had no idea that there was such a thing as whisker fatigue. Whisker fatigue is the cats whiskers hitting on boundaries when they stick their heads into something, such as a hole or a door or a feeding dish. This dish is heavy, and looks pretty. It is elevated so that Molly is not having to lap her food upwards just to get it into her mouth, so she is able to eat more, and more easily. It is wide, so her whiskers are not hitting the sides, so this helps her stay longer at her bowl and she eats more. I am very pleased that I happened upon the article regarding whisker fatigue and that this bowl seems to have helped her eat the more nourishing wet food. I highly recommend this bowl.

> 24 hourI like the fact that his food & water is raised. Rambo is a larger cat & it helps he doesnt have to bend over to eat or drink. I bought another water bowl that is located away from his food if he wants to use that one.

> 24 hourOur elder kitty was struggling to eat his food and it was recommended that we try elevating his dish. It worked so we bought this. Its great! The only thing that could make it better would be if the bowl was tilted.
