> 3 dayInitially this bowl seemed like it would be great. The size was exactly what I wanted, and I thought it would be good for my elderly cat. However, he didn’t like it which really surprised me. He did eat out of it, but then I noticed he wasn’t eating as much as usual. (It’s important that he eat because he’s lost some weight. He’s had many tests, including an ultrasound, and they can’t find the reason for the weight loss.) After a few days, I put his regular-sized bowl right next to this one. He ate from his old bowl. Besides this, I found two small chips on the bottom of the bowl. It was wrapped very carefully so no complaint there. It was also handled carefully so no reason for those chips. I did notice this was a big complaint from other buyers. I don’t see a reason to give a bad rating when the biggest problem was my cat not liking it. I only gave four stars because of the chips.

Greater than one weekMy cat its an elderly gentlemen. Dont have teeth and the size of it maked easier for him to eat without speel on the floor. And aldo in my opinion its good for a small to medium Dog. It is ceramic and well made.

> 3 dayDelivered with care; the bowl was encased in a styrofoam box : ( (maybe the shipper can figure out a cardboard product other than styrofoam because many cities dont have a styrofoam recycling program--- a lot ends up in a landfill, gets buried so it doesnt break down. Anyhu, the bowl is fairly big so we decided to use it for water. Cats took to it immediately. There were some sharp ceramic spots along the base, that sits in the counter, so we took a piece of sandpaper & smoothed it out before it could scratch the kitchen countertop. Nice dish, good height for the older cat as well as our kitten, and sturdy! Would buy again if theres a smaller size for food bowls.

Greater than one weekThese are perfect for my senior boy! He is pretty big (13 lbs) and has arthritis, so a bowl that he doesnt have to bend down to eat out of is a must. These are the only bowls I could find that were tall enough for him (apparently you should go for elbow height) and I can tell he is much happier eating from these! They are also sturdy and pretty thick. Dont drop them on the floor- they are ceramic after all. Maybe not great if you have kids. They are also easy to clean, when the wet food gets stuck on there, just leave it to soak for a few minutes and itll come right off.

> 3 dayThis works so well for us that I purchased a second one. We use it to give our senior kitty wet food a few times a day, so they get hand washed 99% of the time. Its plenty sturdy, so I dont have to worry about it moving around on her while shes trying to eat. Its a great height and has definitely help cut down on the vomiting, which I think was mostly caused by heartburn from her low eating plates/bowls. Would definitely recommend.

> 3 dayIve been putting my boys dish on a box to help raise it up. Total Macgyver action. I was looking for something that would be tall enough for him. Hes a LARGE/LONG/TALL cat. When I opened the box, I was surprised how big/tall it actually was. Its ceramic, heavy enough to not tip over when he eats from it. Its the absolutely perfect height for him. He seems pleased with it. Since raising his food up, hes stopped throwing up. (thank god!!!) At least with this great raised cat dish, I dont need to sit and hold the dish so it doesnt slide off the box ;) Im VERY pleased with my purchase!!

05-12-2024All 3 of my cats use these bowls, they are sturdy, easy to clean & tall which is what I needed. Update 3/2021: I bought one in black for our new kitten, it looks nice, shiny, but youre able to see water spots after its air dried, unlike my two white ones, which are now $2.00 more than the black, and the only reason I bought it in black. They are identical cat food bowls, still made well, sturdy & easy to clean, I wish the price had been identical for both. A very small issue compared to the whole realm of life, but consistency would be nice. These are made in China like 99% of everything else pet related, when Americans cant even make pet food bowls in the USA, were in more trouble than we realize. We can thank congress for annihilating manufacturing here, I hope the shekels they got were worth destroying our country.
