22-04-2025The raised bowl is very sturdy and well made but it’s way oversized. My cats 16.5 lb … a big guy but this is a bit much. Bowl size is good for a dog. I’ll keep it because it’s a hassle to return and he is using but just thought I’d comment.

> 3 dayMy large tabby really likes this bowl for water and it’s comfortable for him to drink from now that he’s old and frail and prefers drinking and eating while sitting down. The bowl is pretty and very sturdy. The reason I took one star off is that at the current height I need to fill the bowl almost to the brim for my cat to comfortably eat and drink from. However, he consumes very little in his old age and using this large bowl for food (which is what I got it for) was becoming too wasteful—or he would just ignore the small amount placed at the bottom, which was too hard to reach. I do like the concept of a raised bowl though, so I ended up getting a smaller tilted one that meets our current needs better. I’m sure this bowl would have worked great in his old days, when his appetite better matched the size of this pretty bowl!

> 3 dayThese are perfect for my senior boy! He is pretty big (13 lbs) and has arthritis, so a bowl that he doesnt have to bend down to eat out of is a must. These are the only bowls I could find that were tall enough for him (apparently you should go for elbow height) and I can tell he is much happier eating from these! They are also sturdy and pretty thick. Dont drop them on the floor- they are ceramic after all. Maybe not great if you have kids. They are also easy to clean, when the wet food gets stuck on there, just leave it to soak for a few minutes and itll come right off.

> 3 dayIf you love your cat (or small dog) and can afford it, youre thinking of buying this bowl. You should. Its made well and pretty darn sturdy. Very easy to grasp too. Much, much better for digestion to eat from a raised bowl, and this one is a good height. The wide bowl is GREAT for flat faced cats and dogs, and of course, all four legged friends. I have other ceramic raised bowls that cost triple of this one (handmade, however), so it is nice to find a reasonably priced one. Additionally, this has a very wide bowl span, so wet food does not slide off onto the floor. With care I hope it lasts a long time. I have already used it in the microwave to quickly warm refrigerated leftovers. It came packed extremely well. DEFINITELY worth 5 stars!!

Greater than one weekThis bowl is perfect in terms of its height and bowl size for my 15 year old Chihuahua mix. Im taking one star off because the bowl easily chips. One small slip during washing results in chipped edges. Im on third bowl.

Greater than one weekI looked at all the reviews and raised dishes before I selected these. Very pleased with quality and size. Crash isn’t old and doesn’t vomit but looks more comfortable eating.

> 3 dayI like the fact that his food & water is raised. Rambo is a larger cat & it helps he doesnt have to bend over to eat or drink. I bought another water bowl that is located away from his food if he wants to use that one.

> 3 dayThe heigh definitely helps my cats with eating more comfortably, they have less hairballs and digestion issues.

> 3 dayI already have one of the more expensive brands of raised/angled bowls for my cat but I was looking for a second one and trying not to spend too much money. My cat is elderly and needs something easy to eat and drink out of. Not only is this bowl taller than the other brand, it is nice and heavy and is not in danger of tipping. The height is perfect for an average sized cat and this thing cleans beautifully! I’ve seen people complain about it chipping in the dishwasher. Since my cat eats out of this twice a day, I just have a soft bristle scrubber at the sink to clean it out between feedings (sometimes with a drop of detergent, sometimes not) and the smooth surface cleans easily. I have had it for a few months now and the finish is still beautiful. The width is great as well. Most cats don’t like bowls where their whiskers can touch the sides and this is shallow and wide enough to avoid that. If you want to save $10 and don’t need ears on your ceramic cat food bowl, this is the one to buy. ;) Edited 5/12/20: I came online to order another one of these bowls today and the price has increased $5 from the last time I purchased it a few months ago. My quality comments have not changed but the pricing makes me less likely to buy a second one.
