> 3 dayHonestly, this might be one of the best purchases ive made for my Beardie so far. After having it for a few months, it still works great and I have yet to change the light bulb. Its small, great for when I travel home for the summer and have to bring is furniture with me, and the light bulbs are easy to pack too. It does get very hot! Which is wonderful for me since he has a large cage that needs to be heated up. I personally havent tried the spring system, I have this connected to a lamp holder that also works wonders.

> 3 dayI bought this for my Texas spiny lizard. Hes housed in a basic 10 gallon aquarium, with a Zilla 20x10 screen cover. To save money I bought 40 watt G9 bulbs from CBconcept (10 pack, 500 lumens, 2700K). If I stick the dome on the screen cover, the temperature at the bottom of my aquarium reaches 108 degrees (11 from bulb); which is too hot. If I use the included stands, it places the dome 15 from the bottom of the aquarium and the temperature reaches 99 degrees. At that temperature my lizard still has to leave the basking spot to cool off before returning. Which is probably ok since it keeps him active. I like the dome, but I kind of wish I had purchased 25 watt bulbs so that I could have the dome resting directly on the screen cover instead of stick up 3 inches above it. Ill be getting more of these if my lizard collection grows.

> 3 dayWork great for pinpoint heat. The outside does get a little hot so if you need to move them you have to give them a couple of minutes to cool down. I use 2 of these (one for night red, one for day blue) and the Zilla halogen combo lamp on my 40 gallon tank. The power switch is in line on the cord and they come with springs to clip onto the screen. The one I bought on Amazon was a little rusty on the springs, but it cleaned off with a damp towel and works great. The heat does dissipate rather rapidly as you get further away from the bulb but its great for basking spots.

> 3 dayGreat space saver. We flipped a 120 gallon drilled fish tank on its side. These are the perfect solution for basking spots with not alot of height. Dont let 25 watts fool u, they reach the perfect temp.

Greater than one weekI have two of them, one with a 50 watt and a 25 watt. That 50 watt is pretty compairable to a 100 watt heat bulb. and the 25 watt is close to a regular bulb. Works great.

> 3 dayI use this on top of a screen cage for my veiled chameleon. It works great, is small enough that it doesnt take the whole cage area and really directs where the heat goes. The casing does get hot, but not hot enough to burn me when I move it. My chameleon loves to sit right underneath it when it is cold in the house and she does not get burned.

> 3 dayWe run an exotic animal rehab and rescue. I have to provide heat and light in different types of enclosures to different species for the least amount of energy and cost. After a lot of rearranging, consolidation and trial and error, these are a main staple for a lot of different types of enclosures. Whether it is daylight or night heat, these are the only way to spot heat or keep heat where you need it . I buy these as often as I can afford them and they rarely go out. They are great in tortoise, gecko, small monitory and baby iguana cages as well as certain types of snake enclosures as well as many other options including sugar gliders, ferrets, hedgehogs etc depending on the setup.
