I purchased this along with the halogen mini night red bulb here on amazon for my ball python. the box was open and everything had spilled out in the package when i recieved it which was kind of annoying... but the main thing is that it works ! so, five stars for that. I like the little spring clip it comes with to keep it secure on my tank screen ! i also LOVE how small it is, very lowkey :)

This Light Fixture works!!! But make sure you have a branch or a rock to get it close to it.

I love this lamp, it is the perfect size for our little snake in a 20 gallon tank. You have to buy special halogen bulbs for it. Be very verrrry careful when you use the daylight bulb. At first I was resting the lamp on the metal mesh grate, until I put my hand under it and realized it could burn me and that it was much too close and could burn the snake. As you can see from the photos, it has melted the plastic on the rim of the tank! YIKES! We now raise the lamp farther from the tank, however our cats can get under it and I have to turn it off when I leave the house for fear of fire.

Work great for pinpoint heat. The outside does get a little hot so if you need to move them you have to give them a couple of minutes to cool down. I use 2 of these (one for night red, one for day blue) and the Zilla halogen combo lamp on my 40 gallon tank. The power switch is in line on the cord and they come with springs to clip onto the screen. The one I bought on Amazon was a little rusty on the springs, but it cleaned off with a damp towel and works great. The heat does dissipate rather rapidly as you get further away from the bulb but its great for basking spots.

This lamp is a waste of money. It barely warmed a small enclosure and the lamp itself stopped working a week after purchase. Do not waste your money on this garbage!!

Haven’t had this product for too long, but I am very satisfied. It is very convenient that the lamp attached to the top of my terrarium. One bad thing was that I bought a bulb at 50 watts and it melted a piece of my lizards decor, but this was because it was about 3 inches below the light. I have since moved the item away and have not had any problems. I think these lights are very efficient and they look nicer than my old ones
