Easy to use, good value for the money

Work great for pinpoint heat. The outside does get a little hot so if you need to move them you have to give them a couple of minutes to cool down. I use 2 of these (one for night red, one for day blue) and the Zilla halogen combo lamp on my 40 gallon tank. The power switch is in line on the cord and they come with springs to clip onto the screen. The one I bought on Amazon was a little rusty on the springs, but it cleaned off with a damp towel and works great. The heat does dissipate rather rapidly as you get further away from the bulb but its great for basking spots.

These lamp sock some serious heat! I was shocked at how well they do with only 50watts! Be y neat design and with the clips attached to the screen you dont have to worry about the lamp falling off!

I use this for a ball python in a 40 gallon tank. It works great.

Perfect for creating a basking spot in a smaller enclosure. I use mine - 3 of them - in a semi rain forest enclosure that quite large. This allows strategically placed basking spots without drying out the moss or killing the plants.

So much better than the big round bulb options! Weve had this dome for four months and havent had any issues. Normally Id have to replace the dome twice because it blows out in that amount of time. Either that or Id have to replace new bulbs because the dome destroyed them. Theres something comforting about inserting the bulb into the dome instead of screwing it in. Its a lot tighter and a lot smoother of a design. The dome itself is smaller but packs a huge punch, is easy to work with, and doesnt take up as much space. Its also comparable in price and packs way more of a punch, so this is the pound for pound king of heat lamps.

This does the job well and is nice and small compared to other solutions. It is HOT though, so beware. My son has this on his reptile cage and accidentally touched the metal causing an immediate deep second degree burn. Safety and how to attach it must be considered.

Good small lamp
