The door in this lid is appallingly shoddy. I could immediately see that it was loose on its hinges, had gaps at the edges, and the single plastic closure knob only caused it to warp worse. So I took extra precautions and covered the door (totally defeating the purpose of having easier access in the first place). My corn snake STILL escaped within 4 DAYS. Shes only a juvenile (about 18 long) but she was still easily strong enough to nudge the door from beneath to make an (even wider) gap and get through. It happened while I stepped out of the room, so she did it in less than 5 minutes. I was lucky that I came back in time to spot her before she disappeared forever. Ive had this snake for a year with a traditional mesh lid without a door, and she has never escaped in all that time. Unbelievable that a pet supply company would sell a product that will cause people to lose their pets. It would have taken take three seconds of testing to see that this was an irresponsibly bad design.

I received this promptly and it fit perfectly on my Glass terrarium. Great buy, very good price. I love the little door, its great for my grandson to feed his bearded dragon. I highly recommend it.

I used this productt for my crested gecko and it worked swimmingly! i see people complaining about the clips and the door breaking but i havent had a problem with either of those, besides, you can get those clips for like two bucks at a Petco or Petsmart. I would recommend this for crested geckos because its cheaper than those 100 dolllar zilla ones, and it ensures more safety of your crested gecko jumping out whenever you open the cage.

Main structure of the lid is sturdy but the door is flimsy and NOT secure for a snake what so ever.

Hinge came broken the screen all twisted up

Had to use Velcro strips to actually attach this item to a ten gallon tank to create an environment my snake couldn’t escape. Beware that you will have to secure this item to the top as any animal could easily escape using the item as is, this item by itself will NOT secure a reptile enclosure.

Perfect fit for a 20L gallon tank. Door is handy. Screen not to strong (but strong enough)

Works perfect for keeping in squirrel, which is escape artist. Very strong metal top, tolerates him climbing on underside constantly. Actual latch to keep locked seems to be plastic, so may need alternate lock in future. Strong enough to tolerate 15# cat laying on top drooling over the moving toy playing inside. Use with zilla latches sold separately, works great to anchor top down.

the door on it latch was broke and wouldnt work on arrival. I kept it but have no use for it at this time and had to get a regular lid. Dissatisfied and disappointed

Provide the refreshing air circulation of a screen cover with the added feeding convenience of a hinged access door. Reptiles are kept safe under the protection of tough escape-proof mesh that resists scratches, bites and corrosion. Both the mesh and the steel frame are designed to withstand the high temperatures from heat lamps.
