> 3 dayI bought one of these for my royal python after his heat lamp shorted out. I did a little research and heating pads were often listed in preference to heat lamps, so I thought Id give it a try. I cant speak for every brand, but these ones were absolute crap. It didnt heat my terrarium (or my poor snake), the adhesive doesnt stick and fell off at least once a day, and lastly, this item is completely impossible to return. They advertise on their site as providing refunds if you are not satisfied with their product, but have absolutely no means by which you can reach them. I called three times and left three voicemails, I sent two emails (both directly and through amazon), and I attempted to call the company headquarters. No response. Very unprofessional. Complete waste of $25. So not only does this product suck and put both you and your pet through stress, youre stuck with it.

> 3 dayThis review was low based solely on my own fault as I didnt read how small the mat really was. I dont think it is suitable for the size tank that Zilla recommends however.

Greater than one weekProduct was just as described. Worked great for my small 10 gallon tank. It’s sticks good and has stayed on good so far.

> 3 dayIve bought several Zilla heat mats which I have attempted to apply to the side of my tanks, after first thoroughly cleaning the glass. They peel off every time. Every time. I hate them now. Do yourself a favor and buy Zoo Med brand. Ive never had a problem with those. The one thing I like about this mat is that it is a great size. If it would stick to the tank it would be perfect for me. Alas its going straight into the trash after two days of use.

> 3 dayI bought 2 of these for my African Pygmy hedgehogs, housed separately in plastic bins. In the past, Ive moved them out of the sun room in the colder weather into the guest room with a ceramic heater running 24/7 to keep the ambient temp between 70-73f. Ive also used Hot Hands, which get costly over the course of a winter as well as heat lamps. Human heating pads turn off after about 2 hours and arent practical, so I decided to give these a try since the 6x8 mats seemed a good alternative. I wasnt interested in the adhesive aspect since I do move the bins for cleaning and didnt want to deal with cords. When they arrived, I peeled the adhesive off - and I cant address the issue as to whether its good or not (apparently its not from the reviews, although it was a very sticky mess to remove). The bins are light enough that I just sat them on top of the mats. They seem to put out just the right amount of heat. Juno and Bailey each give the mats 2 quills up. Id recommend them for African Pygmy hedgehog owners. I should note that I do not use igloos or huts for the hedgies - they sleep in little nests they make out of pieces of fleece. Id be concerned about these heating up an igloo so much that the hedgies wouldnt stay in it; making the mats useless.

> 3 dayHighly disappointed. Bought this to adhere to the bottom of a 20 gallon tank for a ball python. First issue was the heater failed to stick after warming. I did manage to get it to stay by placing a dvd case under the tank to hold it in place. I was able to adapt but shouldnt have to as the under tank application of this product was a selling point for me. Second the heater seems to transfer very little heat in to the actual tank. After fixing the first problem and allowing to set about an hour only a minimum of warmth can be felt by hand. I hope this proves sufficient till I can receive a normal heat lamp as cold weather sets in. Will attempt a return if Amazon allows.
