These under tank heaters are junk. Weve gone through a few and the Zilla brand seems to burn out its regulator and threatens the safety of animals. We switched to reptitherms UTHs and they have served better. They burn out but when they do, they just go cold instead of overheating.

Horrible product! Does not stick to glass tank regardless of positioning, does not get warm or keep constant temp. Worst product I have ever had experience with.

I dont know if I got a defective one or not. Plugged it in for several days and it got warm enough to where it wasnt cold to the touch, but the thing doesnt heat at all. Wont heat the surface its stuck on, and certainly cant be felt through bedding/substrate. I fully regret spending the money.

I should have listened to the reviews and stayed clear!! I placed it under my terrarium and set my timer on my phone so I could monitor how fast it took to heat up the area and at 30min half the pad was hanging down. I pressed it back on and within 10min it was nearly completely off. I should have bought a Zoo Med Under the Tank Heater in the first place specially since all the breeders use them! Getting one tomorrow and forgetting Zilla!

This heating pad doesnt really give off much heat and also will not stick to the bottom of a glass tank. I had to take another users advice and place a DVD case under the pad to keep it attached to the tank while I waited for a more adhesive pad to come in the mail. I tried using this on my leopard geckos tank and it definitely did not seem like it was giving off enough heat to keep him comfortable and healthy, even through only about 1/4 of substrate (felt terrarium liner).

Doesnt heat well at all

Wont stick to the bottom of the glass tank. Keeps coming loose. Blow up like a balloon. All in a months time.

I purchased 2 of these and the detached from the bottom of the terrarium after a few hours. Ordered replacements for both and was assured this wouldn’t happen. Both replacements also failed to stay attached. This product is terrible. I replaced all 4 with the Zoo Med equivalent and have had no issues for the last 6 weeks.
