> 3 dayI put these up in my garage, and when my wife got home she said it practically blinded her as she pulled into the garage. They’re super bright. Okay, not a “Christmas Vacation Movie” bright, but bright enough for my needs. I had tried the multi angled garage lights previously. They just didn’t brighten things up enough. These lights however fully fill every corner of the garage with light and it’s like daylight even in the middle of the night.

> 3 dayThis is a pretty bright light and it gives you impressive even illumination. The base of the light is larger than the normal Edison socket you would find in your home but it comes with an adapter. If you take that into account with the overall large size of the bulb though you were going to find it difficult to enclose this in most consumer fixtures. This is definitely a light suited to more commercial or industrial applications. I am using them in a straight socket that is illuminating a hallway from the ceiling. There is no light fixture surrounding it it is just the raw bulb so it gives plenty of light for that. Much more light than the 150 W incandescent that used to be in there. I recommend you measuring any fixture that you may intend to use this in. You will need a minimum of 5 inches clearance for the width and 12 inches clearance for the links. 13 if you intend to use the adapter. this is the absolute minimum. You probably need more for heat dissipation as well.

> 3 dayIts the biggest light bulb Ive ever gotten. I was going to use it in my backyard, but it was longer than my original shade, so Im using it in my garage now. One bulb is enough to light an entire garage, and yes, its astonishingly bright as it is its size. I dont recommend it for living room or room, it has some noise.

> 3 dayJust note that this LED Corn Bulb is huge! And it fits in a regular light socket. This light is plenty bright in any location as it is intended to be a replacement bulb for outdoor lighting or higher ceilings. But, if youre like me and want to be able to blast light in a work space or have specialty needs this can be really handy. Just make sure your fixture is rated for 60w bulbs and doesnt have a ballast power supply and youre good to go! As a self proclaimed LED guru, its important to know that this bulb is not UL, ETL or DLC listed as almost all warrantied LED lights are. As a rule of thumb using a product that isnt listed, make sure you arent using it unattended or for prolonged use. It will ensure the product continues to work as expected for a longer time. In the words of Doctor Octavius, The Power of the Sun in the Palm of your Hand! Also $40 for 2 of these is a killer deal, they used to be 50 bucks a bulb!

> 3 dayThis light has plenty of output for keeping greens and herbs alive thriving but its not going to grow big fruits or vegetables because LED lighting tech is still not where it needs to be to eliminate to dominators in the lighting industry. That said these will fit a large and small base and certainly has enough output for a corn plant which doesnt needuch light to thrive to begin with. The bulbs are VERY large and feel cheap with the plastic protection sleeve over it. If brightness to the naked is is what youre going for though these will suffice, but if you need massive light output from a Lumen/M² then stick with HPS/MH or get an LED grow light with actual Samsung chips designed for growing and truly are comparable to a MH which produce enough light for a true flowering cycle.

> 3 dayThese luminaires are large. See the attached photo with the luminaire next to a pop can for scale. In addition to having LEDs around the sides, there is also a battery of LEDs on the bottom that project straight downward (see second photo). I installed these luminaires in my garage. Installation couldn’t have been easier. I simply unscrewed the existing bulb and replaced it with one of these in each of the two fixtures in my garage. The result was very good. After trying numerous LED Lumineers, these bulbs made the garage more like a workshop. To add a little science to this review, I used a handheld photographic light meter to measure the amount of light produced by these luminaires. At a 45° angle and a distance of 4 feet, a single luminaire produced 80 foot candles of incident light. This is not how bright the bulb looks, it is a measure of light falling on an object. 80 foot candles for a garage is a decent amount of light. I am pleased I ordered these luminaires because my garage is now brighter than it has ever had been, and it was accomplished with no additional wiring and no additional fixtures, saving hours of time and money. I recommend these luminaires.
