> 3 dayEven taking into account that a 100w LED bulb is many multiples brighter than a 100w incadescent light, these are surprisingly bright bulbs. They are meant as replacements for large industrial fixtures that have traditionally used sodium or mercury vapor lamps, so they are sized for such applications (the bulbs are 10 inches long and 3.5 inches wide, so theyre not fitting in your traditional lamp. The 5000k color temperature provides a very white, daylight-like light. I am using them in photo reflectors to light a large green screen, and they work very well for that purpose. The flat top of the bulb also has an array of LEDs, so you get coverage similar to a traditional bulb. They do produce a slight hum, but not so much as to be annoying (I am using them in a video application, and the camera mic doesnt piuck up the hum). The bulbs come with a set of adapters that concert the E26 (household) base to an E39 (mogul/industrial) base. In all, Im very happy with thes bulbs.

> 3 dayMy headline just about says it all. These are very bright. Perfect for a small area with a high ceiling, or a medium area if you use both. Price isnt bad at all. The mogul adapter is included, allowing you to use them with either the standard e26, or the larger mogul socket. The build quality is a little bit sketchy though. One of the two lights I received wasnt working at first. I thought I was going to have to send it back, but then it came on after I gave it a good smack. Not a good sign.

> 3 dayNow this is a light bulb! The order came with two bulbs so the price isn’t unreasonable at all. I needed one for my barn so I had a “spare.” I’ve got this closet that I occasionally need a small flashlight to find a specific shirt. So, I put the corn light in. Boom! Nothing can hide in there now. The truth is I’ll probably find another location that’s better suited to this level of brightness but for now I’m using the closet to light the whole bedroom. Note: that’s a slight exaggeration but this is the brightest bulb in my house. Easy five stars from me.

> 3 dayGreat for an outdoor workshop or (really big high-ceilinged) garage. These things are insanely bright, way too much for a small room. Since theyre LED, they light instantly and have no trouble starting up in the cold like fluorescents sometimes do. The included Mogul base adapter might tempt one to try installing it directly into an HID fixture. Dont do that! The existing ballast and starting circuitry will destroy the LED lamp. Youll need to open the fixture and remove or bypass the ballast first.

> 3 dayI though I would replace a couple of lights out my patio currently using standard 100 watt bulbs. The first thing you should know it their enormous size. They barely fit inside my fixtures and left no room to spare. After installing them during the day I turned the on to test them and they were bright to my eyes even in daylight. That night they proved to be very very bright. Thhere is a very slight delays when turning on which is almost unnoticeable. I checked each individual LED and found no dead ones. I recommend these for outdoor use provided your fixture is large enough to accommodate them.

> 3 dayI never heard of a corn light. Whoever wrote the ad was confused, there is a c.o.b. (circuit on board ) whatever. I got these for a couple reasons. Ive gotten to like bright lights as I age. Mostly I got them for photography, they are a daylight brightness so theyre working well for me. Ive used them in my workroom a couple times already. Theyre big and easily get in the way itll be best to use them in one place. Theyre too handy to just use in wearhouses or shops.
