> 24 hourLets start off by saying this lamp is absolutely hot to the touch and when it is in your light socket. The heat on it is okay sometimes my room gets a little colder and I dont like to let my bearded dragons tank drop below 65. They say between like 65 and 70 is the perfect temperature. I think it is better for smaller cages. I think as it gets hotter though the light definitely works better.

> 24 hourThis is the second set of these I have ordered, I really dont need the thermostat but its cute. But I have ran these in all my bigger cages for my bigger snakes and they are spot on. Just be sure you have an anti-scald cage around them to protect your critters from burns. You cant go wrong with the price either..just 1 100w che at big box stores costs minimum $30....cant recommend enough.
