> 3 dayIve done approximately a dozen cutting projects on this mat since I purchased it and its held up perfectly. Ive been using a Fiskars titanium rotary cutter on the mat and while I havent done heavy materials such as denim as yet the mat has healed perfectly. I cant see on single scratch on it. I read other reviews about having issues with scars on the mat...I have no idea what others are using as a cutter on the mat or how much pressure they are using but I have used the mat as intended and it looks like it did when it was unpacked. It is shipped well...flat and protected. There is a smell upon unpacking. I personally identify the smell as typical made in China plastic smell. Ive encountered the same odor on my iPad cases, phone cases, etc. I for one dont think the odor is offensive. It is there and it does go away pretty quickly when the items are exposed to air. Its not roses but its not noxious. While I didnt sniff the mat daily to see if the odor was still there I can say I didnt notice the smell after a couple of days when I entered the room and moved the mat. Store it flat. I generally leave it on top of the table unless I need that space for the sewing machine or the laptop and then I just slide it under a bookcase in the room. It arrived in perfect condition and it works as its supposed to. The mat is identical to the photographs and description. I couldnt ask for more!

> 3 dayReceived timely and in great shape. I am impressed with this Matt. I use it for Cutting Quilting squares. Nice to have the 1/2 inches marked also. It has a great fell as I am cutting. I can tell by the feel when I have gotten through all the layers of the fabric. I stays nicely on the counter also and has a rubber feel, my old larger matt is more of a plastic fell and will slide. I will probable purchase a larger one of these as a replacement, but would like to see them add a handle to the top so it can be hung up when not in use.

> 3 dayI havent had time to use it, putting a couple short cuts on it with nothing on it with My self sharpened new Fiskars rotary cutter left a couple very, very shallow lines I had to bend the mat back to see. Good stuff. Well marked with measurements Ill take care of It till I buy an other if I ever need to which is doubtful with the little I do. They even responded to Me that it will last far longer than it takes the Years Long warrenty to expire. A life time for Me. - Oh well it will be a heirloom if some Dim-Dot dosnt throw it out. Yesr.

Greater than one weekI bought this with the hope of protecting the top of my workbench when Im cutting balsa or covering materials. My wife who is an avid quilter suggested it for me. Im not sure how long it will last but its pretty cool the way it self heals! Ive also found that the various lines on the mat come in handy. No negatives to report thus far.

> 3 dayThis is a excellent product. Its self healing qualities are very good. I used it to cut cotton squares for a queen size quilt. I found that if I used the soft brush tool on my vacuum cleaner to clear the fabric scraps and dust off the mat before cleaning with a damp sponge the mat looked like it was brand new after cleaning. The size of the mat and the measurements on the mat were perfect for my project.

> 3 dayThis is a very nice cutting mat. Size is appropriate and the quality is great. My only complaint was the very strong odor upon opening for the first time. I suggest opening it outside and letting it air out for an hour or so. Smells like paint fumes, but it goes away.

> 3 dayThis was a lot larger than I had anticipated (though that was stupid on my part for not paying close attention to the dimension), but it works great, and actually is perfect for what I need. Because it is so large, I can actually use it - more or less - as a table top for all my other craft equipment (I do 3D paper crafts); this way, they wont scratch up my actual table top. It heals quickly (most of the time, I cannot even tell I had made a cut), and is perfect what it is supposed to do.

> 3 dayThis mat is a little thicker than others, making it very sturdy. I love that it is printed on both sides. The 1 lines are pretty thick, making it difficult to cut by - is 1 inch the whole line or the edge of the line. You just have to be consistent when lining up on those lines.

> 3 dayThis mat is pretty nifty. I got it for my wifes crafting station and she loves it. It is nice and flat and she says she can easily get accurate cuts with her

> 3 dayA couple of years ago I jumped back into quilting after 30 years off. A friend recommended this self-healing mat, a rotary cutter and quilting rulers for cutting pieces. Oh how my life has changed. In just a few days, a couple hours a day, I cut out all of the pieces for 120 blocks. Using the mat, its ruler lines and angle lines, made this process so easy! I cant believe I waited so long. After cleaning, the cuts on the mat pretty much disappeared and the mat looked new again. I dont know what it will look like after a few more quilts, but so far, its great.
