> 3 dayI do a lot of work with utility knives and exacto-type knives in making costumes. This particular mat is REALLY tough and resistant to nicks and tears. The surface is impermeable enough to quickly clean up glue scrapes. What is great (and I didnt expect) is how easily this rolls when I want to store it. Suggestion for improvement: this mat has angles measured and separate graduations at inches and half-inches; it would have been great if metric units were included. When in use, it is the base for my craft workstation, and it is of course, recommended.

> 3 dayIve done approximately a dozen cutting projects on this mat since I purchased it and its held up perfectly. Ive been using a Fiskars titanium rotary cutter on the mat and while I havent done heavy materials such as denim as yet the mat has healed perfectly. I cant see on single scratch on it. I read other reviews about having issues with scars on the mat...I have no idea what others are using as a cutter on the mat or how much pressure they are using but I have used the mat as intended and it looks like it did when it was unpacked. It is shipped well...flat and protected. There is a smell upon unpacking. I personally identify the smell as typical made in China plastic smell. Ive encountered the same odor on my iPad cases, phone cases, etc. I for one dont think the odor is offensive. It is there and it does go away pretty quickly when the items are exposed to air. Its not roses but its not noxious. While I didnt sniff the mat daily to see if the odor was still there I can say I didnt notice the smell after a couple of days when I entered the room and moved the mat. Store it flat. I generally leave it on top of the table unless I need that space for the sewing machine or the laptop and then I just slide it under a bookcase in the room. It arrived in perfect condition and it works as its supposed to. The mat is identical to the photographs and description. I couldnt ask for more!

> 3 dayLove the size and the grid lines on this mat but I cut fabric daily as a business and after a few days the mat started flaking during cutting. Im not sure if this is a default of the mat however..I am very hard on them and cut fabric 8-9 solid hours a day. This is an excellent mat design and very accurate. would be a great mat for someone that cuts fabric and other materials just for hobby purposes. If I just cut occasionally I would not hesitate to buy again

Greater than one weekThis mat is pretty nifty. I got it for my wifes crafting station and she loves it. It is nice and flat and she says she can easily get accurate cuts with her

Greater than one weekIve not had opportunity to use it yet. I do like the fact it is double sided and I could buy a size usable in my small home surroundings--10x15 room in an assisted living facility with only VERY small cabinet area and small desk. Thank you for carrying that size mat. Orah May Mockbee

> 3 dayI am a doll collector and design and make lots of clothes for the little ones. I have used my new Crafty World Pro Quality Cutting Mat every day, probably 4-6 hours a day. I have used, and am familiar with other brands, but I have totally fallen in love with this board. It permits me to cut close in corners and curves, which I have many of, are no problem. I get the feeling of a soft cut and am sure my blades will last much longer. The board closes smoothly behind the cut and there is no indication that it has ever been cut. Im also pleased that the board can be used on both sides; which will make it last twice as long. I am very satisfied, as you may be able to tell. I would surely recommend this board to others.

> 3 dayI was expecting a rolled up mat that had to be reverse rolled to get it to lay flat. It arrived in a flat box ready to use. Great product exactly what I needed and wanted.

> 3 dayI use this cutting mat with an X-Acto knife for art projects. It works as its designed, Im happy with it. The only thing I dont like is that it does curl up and doesnt lie perfectly flat. Thats why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. But the curl does not impede my work.

> 3 dayHave used it very little so far, but seems like a big improvement over cutting fabric on my dining room table!

> 3 dayMy first cutting mat was about 10X10 and it had sustained some water damage, which meant that it had rippled, This is a fatal flaw as it creates an uneven surface and throws cutters off. I had not realized that cutting mats came in such a large size! It functions perfectly and the quality of my quilt blocks has improved 1000%.
