This is a perfect size cutting mat for cutting medium to smaller size items. It has grid lines to help you align and measure for straight and even cutting. Use with a rotary cutter. It is top quality!

There are lots of cutting mats out there but I saw this one had a lot of five star reviews so I thought Id give it a try. After some extensive use already, Im going to add my five star rating to the pile. This is a great mat for craft work. Ive been using it for cutting foam for some costumes and I have to press hard to cut all the way through the foam but you can hardly notice any cuts in the surface. I like the double-sided feature in case the surface ever does start to get worn out I can flip it over and start with a new mat. It is a little heavy but I like that it gives you a real solid surface to work on.

Ive used this mat with exacto knives and freeform rotary cutters for a couple months now, cutting different weights of card stock for intricate designs and fabric. I am extremely satisfied with how this mat holds up. It really does work as described, the cuts seem to heal themselves. I literally can not see where I have cut on the matt. Having the measurements is very helpful, and the fact that this matt is double sided means I should get plenty of use out of it. A quality made product, I highly recommend this matt to anyone looking for a cutting matt.

This is a very heavy weight mat, with grid lines on both sides. I havent actually used it yet, but it comes with good instructions for using, cleaning, and storing it. Customer service was great - I even received an email before the mat arrived, telling me how to care for it. The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars is all the half-inch grid lines. They make it look kind of busy, and Im not sure Ill like them (Im used to only 1 lines). I might prefer if it only had the 1/2 lines on one side.

Ive had the same 8x11 self-healing mat since 2000.. it has served me well, but its starting to get that used issue.. too many cuts, its been painted on, the lines are fading.. so I found this mat in and its a perfect upgrade to my first.. I havent used it for cutting on yet.. I make a lot of miniatures so I need to scale and measure a LOT of things and this mat works well for that. I like the angle markings too.. and it has that new mat scent that I enjoy quite a bit :) I do highly recommend this mat, its perfect for what I use them for (and I will not paint on this one. Washing the other one the way I did took its toll on the markings.) May need to invest in a second, larger one next time.. 12x18 is great for covering the large area where I work on my desk but Im thinking a larger one would be great for the other side for bigger land coverage and workspace

A couple of years ago I jumped back into quilting after 30 years off. A friend recommended this self-healing mat, a rotary cutter and quilting rulers for cutting pieces. Oh how my life has changed. In just a few days, a couple hours a day, I cut out all of the pieces for 120 blocks. Using the mat, its ruler lines and angle lines, made this process so easy! I cant believe I waited so long. After cleaning, the cuts on the mat pretty much disappeared and the mat looked new again. I dont know what it will look like after a few more quilts, but so far, its great.

I liked this cutting mat but it became warped after 10 months and it has a life time guarantee. Would like to know how to return and replace with new one!

Before i purchased i read the reviews for this, the good and the bad. I have to say, i have had no problem with damaging the mat. i had to cut a painted fabric this weekend which took more pressure cutting through the material and the mat held up beautifully. So much better than my old plastic mat that was cut up and starting to snag on delicate and knit materials. Ive had the mat a few weeks now and i love it, its well worth the money and better than others i have used.
