> 3 dayit was surprised and in awe of this mat. it looks like they put two mats together for double sided mat. its heavy in a good way. I have never seen quality in another mat before like this one, and the price is to good to be true. used it once so far and it looks like brand new. I look forward to using this mat for a long while. my last mat only lasted 6 months. i do a lot of quilting. I am looking forward to this mat lasting longer. it sure looks and feels like it will. this mat had no smell to it like some reviewers said and arrived flat in great condition.

> 3 dayI purchased the mat for polymer clay and it has worked great. I use a sharp blade on the mat several times a week and it has worked as advertised. There are no cut marks on the mat. The clay has a tendency to leave some stain on the mat but that is no big deal for me because the mat was not made for clay. The markings on the mat help me cut and measure the clay. I am very satisfied.

> 3 dayThe lines are there to ‘square’ your fabric cutting. I use this item to cut fabric. I see the vertical and horizontal lines to confirm cutting the line in a square. The bias line can also be seen.

> 3 dayThis is a very nice cutting mat. Size is appropriate and the quality is great. My only complaint was the very strong odor upon opening for the first time. I suggest opening it outside and letting it air out for an hour or so. Smells like paint fumes, but it goes away.

> 3 dayI saw reviews before purchasing claiming the mat is not self-healing. However, it is. The product is not magic. There will be marks, but the product is designed to not be as cut up by the mat expanding a little bit to push the cuts together to make it appear as if there are no cuts (although the cut is still there). If you dig/cut in hard, of course the mat will not be able to self-heal as well as if you cut regularly; same as if you cut on this mat for a long time. For what it is, it works extremely well. There was a slight smell out of box, but after airing out it was fine. I would recommend the product.

> 3 dayThis is the first time I have used a cutting mat. It is quite convenient in marking and measuring squares and getting them square. Much easier than the pencil, ruler, scissors system. It seems to heal over the cut marks well except when I repeatedly cut squares of the same size. I do rotate the mat around to keep from wearing it out but I am a little concerned about how long this will endure with continuous use. Im glad it has a guarantee! I have been using this mat almost continuously since I received it on March 2. This is one of the handiest quilting tools in my box. I have finished 2 quilts in the past two months because I can now cut several layers of fabric at one time. I love the 18x24 size because it is big enough to cut several strips without moving the mat and small enough to rotate on the table top in the cutting process. The only thing I regret is that I did not find one of these years earlier. I does heal back together nicely.

> 3 dayI love this thing, but I wanted to take this space to warn others: DO NOT put anything hot on it. At all. Im not taking any points off it because the instructions do actually tell you this, but I didnt anticipate how little itd take to ruin it. I set down a microwaved TV dinner on it, in its plastic container and on a thick paper towel, and 10 minutes later the mat would no longer lay flat. I used a powerful hair dryer on it and left it under some heavy books for a day, but it was never the same. Ended up trashing it and getting another. Again, no points off; that was my fault. But boy, when the instructions say no heat, THEY MEAN NO HEAT.
