> 3 dayThis dongle comes in pretty handy for playing PC games with your favorite controller without having to use Bluetooth (which is very unreliable in that regard) Now, Im not attached to a cable and I can still play my PC games with low input lag. It feels just as responsive as playing wirelessly on a console.

> 3 dayWhats great about this adapter is you can practically use any controller with the Switch. My go-to is the PS5 DualSense controller. My two problems with it are (1) its a bit big, and (2) the 8Bitdo ultimate software does not allow for held button macros, which makes macros for most things useless (so cant do a long jump macro in Mario Odyssey). If they made it half the size, similar to the 8Bitdo Ultimate controllers 2.4ghz adapter and made macros more usable it would be 5 stars. Another issue that cropped up is after the last PS5 update I could no longer pair my PS5 DualSense controller. They did end up fixing it would a firmware update after about a week. So if you run into that issue, make sure you download their firmware updater.

> 3 dayI bought the USB Adapter 2 variant (the black one) and it immediately paired my PS5 controller to my PC. I already owned the old USB Adapter 1 (red) variant, and its always done a great job pairing my PS4 controller, but I noticed my PS5 controller wasnt pairing. I assume this is because the Bluetooth technology in the new controllers has progressed. In any event, the USB Adapter 2 did the job immediately. I plugged it into my PC, pressed the pairing button, put my PS5 controller into pairing, and bam, done. No finagling around with Windows Bluetooth settings. No worrying about connection strength. Pairing is immediate and the Bluetooth connection is rock solid. I spent two hours today playing Need for Speed: Unbound from my PC chair while paired to the USB Adapter 2. The design of the device itself is charming and attractive. Its clever that 8BitDo swapped out the red bricks from the first Super Mario level for the darker bricks of the cave to differentiate the two products. Its simple, it works great, no fuss, no muss. Cant ask for more than that.

> 3 daySo I wanted to write more of a guide then a review, as I find this very important, and all over the internet I found wrong information. I wanted to play Captain Toads Adventure and it required Gyro Controls on the Switch Pro Controller. Everytime I seen the controller it was a XBox 360 Controller. Its easy to change the mode as stated in the 8BitDo Manual online. Press the button combos below for 3 seconds to enter manual setting (LED will blink twice),USB Wireless Adapter 2 will not switch mode automatically. - Button + UP = Xinput mode - Button + LEFT = Dinput mode - Button + RIGHT = Mac mode - Button + DOWN = PSC mode - Button + L = Switch mode - Button + UP + LEFT = MD mode * Automatic mode switch supports Windows and Switch only. Press the button combos to switch other modes. * Press pair button on the USB Wireless Adapter 2 till LED turns off to cancel manual setting(controller needs to be re-paired) So press the (+) and the L and you should see the light blink, that is key to know you did it right!. And a pop-up on Windows says, setting up Pro Controller! So all is good now, and Im keeping this device.

Greater than one weekBeen playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom using my PlayStation 5 DualSense Edge controller and its amazing! You can remap the controller buttons (including the additional buttons under the pad) for personalized experience. Although temapping the DS Edge requires being on the PS5 XMB but its very easy and quick to connect to the console and back to the 8BitDo. For TotK, Ive mapped the extra buttons to the Switchs B and A buttons for easier running/cancel and parrying/accept.... Ive mapped the ps5 cross button to the switchs X button for easier jumping/paragliding. Its been a great gaming experience with one of the best games ever made!

> 3 dayAlbeit it being the same kind of structure as the 1st gen apart from some improvements in the signal and now being able to take Xbox Controllers. I still feel this is a good step in the right direction for this device. With the 1st Gen I had on occasion disconnects from supported controllers on PC. Consoles it was working fine no disconnects. With the Gen 2 I no longer have an issues with them. Make sure to update it to the latest firmware. I paid about 16.99 + tax for this on a Lightning deal which do come often for this device. Add it to your wishlist and keep an eye on the sales! Works great with PC and other devices

> 3 dayI read the reviews saying this was not compatible with the nes/snes classic mini. I am stubborn and decided to try it anyway. I did not update the firmware on the 8bitdo usb. I never plugged anything into my computer. I just plugged the adapter into my OTG cable and my Pas4 controller synced. It thinks it’s an Xbox 360 controller and the light is green on the controller instead of blue or red. Both analog buttons work. Both bumpers work, the L2 is Z and R2 changes to c buttons and both analog sticks work. I was going to send this back, but if it’s working, I’ll keep it. I also played N64 Super Smash Bros. The d pad don’t work, but left stick does and seemed fully playable. Playing Link, I can even do special attacks and pull out bombs and throw them. Anyone else had luck with this and is there anything negative I need to know about this before I make a final decision on it?

> 3 dayI bought this to use my Xbox controller on my Xbox. I plugged it in to my Nintendo Switch and held the button for a few seconds. It started flashing and I held the button on my xbox controller for a few seconds to make it flash too. After literally ten minutes it finally connected. Even then there was noticeable input delay and if I ever turned off the Switch or unplugged the a Adapter, I had to wait another ten minutes for it to pair again. I would only recommend if you dont care about these things and have no usable Nintendo controller.

Greater than one weekHavent always been a fan of 8bitdo but despite that, I will be as rational as possible. This 8bitdo adapter pairs pretty easily to some controllers and thats pretty great on their part. However. For my own use case, I wanted to pair specifically a Wii U pro controller to my Nintendo Switch. Ive tried everything and scoured every video, but nothing. Im convinced the version 2 is different than the first iteration, but either way the console receives zero input. I will be refunding this and would I recommend it? Personally no. This was my last hope and Ive decided to pick up another controller since this does not work for me.

> 3 dayjust keep in mind if you plan to use PS5 control you need to update the usb 8bitdo
