Acer Aspire 5 A515-56-36UT, 15.6 Full HD Display, 11th Gen Intel Core i3-1115G4 Processor, 4GB DDR4, 128GB NVMe SSD, WiFi 6, Windows 11 Home (S Mode)

I bought this for my husband and it works great for his small business needs.

It was a real challenge to change from the Edge browser to Google Chrome and I had to call ACER support to accomplish it. But that probably had more to do with my own ignorance than anything else. Ive had this new laptop for only a few days & so far I like it, but I wish the keyboard would light up the way my old ACER keyboard did. Other than that, Im satisfied with this Aspire 5.

Awesome value for money. A very nippy laptop even with 4gb of ram. You can multitask well keeping it standard but upgrading ram will make it even better. No issues with power supply for South Africa. Product arrived a week earlier. Screen is pretty good also. In terms of what we get in South Africa and based on price, this is at least 30% cheaper.

the computer its great , easy to use, material looks good but not very durable, the touch pad stopped working in less than two month, i am stuck with this laptop, can only use it with a wireless mouse., the fix is so expensive to does not worth it paying to fix it

The S mode is my biggest turn off. This laptop is good for kids or light use. To be usable for more ... the SSD, RAM and OS should be upgraded. But, that is still cheaper then buying something with all these upgrades already installed.

Pro:

Acer continues to make a great product at a great price. Some bloatware came preinstalled, as usual, but it was easily removed.

Just bought this laptop and received yesterday 1/11/22, description said it comes preloaded with windows 10 S mode, when I turned it on it was preloaded with windows 11 S mode. Cant revert back to windows 10 because Microsoft only gives you a 10 day grace period to do so once windows 11 has been installed, God only knows when that was, so now Im stuck with a brand new laptop with windows 11, the only way back is to attempt a full installation of windows 10, which probably isnt free, and hope everything works out afterward. Amazon you need to accurately list products so that others dont suffer the same fate!!!!!!!!!
