I purchased this for my daughter. She loves it but.... YOU CANNOT DOWNLOAD ITUNES! My daughter is away at college and everytime she comes home she has to jump on my Mac to back up her phone as its better to have a physical back up as well as a cloud back up.

Ive had my Chromebook for a little over a month now. This thing is AMAZING! I bought it because my old college laptop was about to kick the bucket (a 17 HP notebook) and wanted something smaller with a long battery life for general web browsing while sitting on the couch and lying in bed. Well, this thing has paid for itself time and again. When travelling, my boyfriend and I look forward to watching our Netflix and Hulu shows with the screen turned back in display mode. I recently got a new job teaching English to kiddos via a webcam, and I can do that from this Chromebook - from anywhere! I look forward to taking this to coffee shops without the bulk of my old 17 notebook.

    What I like:

Seems to be a quick, easy to use mash up of a tablet and lap top. I like that the keyboard folds under it like a tablet. Screen is crisp and clear. Great for streaming movies and playing games, and easy to “Cast” them to the TV. Update gave me access to the Android Play Store for tons of apps. Only complaint is the keyboard size, but I expected that due to the compact nature of this product.

Perfect compact design and 2in1 touch screen.

The flip and touchscreen aspects work fine, no problems. I cannot stand the trackpad or the keyboard keys. The trackpad will shoot all around the screen taking you out of your current tab or closing the tab at random. The keyboard is stiff and unresponsive to my typing at times. Not pad for a Chromebook and I own 5 of them, but not what I was expecting either. The good part is it stopped us from deploying these at several schools where I have responsibility to advise on what tech they order.

Noticeably slower than my ACER 15. I do like the touch screen though as well as the fact that I can use android apps. Unfortunately, I had to replace my Acer 15 because after 3 great years the video card or chip...or whatever you call it crapped out. For $300, I definitely got my moneys worth out of that one. Im a power user and abused that poor machine. Also, the 15 felt, believe it or not, lighter than the R 11.

I had an Acer Chromebook before, and loved it, until it completely stopped working one day after about 1 1/2 years. Ordered this one to replace it, and its much slower than the first one. Its okay for email, facebook, surfing the net, etc. But Im getting into photography now, and its terrible for loading, storing, and editing pictures. So, this one isnt working out very well for my needs.
