> 3 dayI purchased this Chromebook from Amazon in the summer of 2018 (had to use a different account so it wont show verified purchase). Its now been well over a year and I still couldnt be happier with my purchase. Its lightweight, quick, easy and fast - all the things my sluggish Dell laptop was not. I use it for writing, researching, the hundreds of home admin duties we do (banking, scheduling, emailing, etc.). Ive watched movies on it, listened to music, played audiobooks and plenty of other things Im probably forgetting. I LOVE the touch screen. It works better than my phone! No lag or jump. I rarely use the tablet function, but its nice to be able to lay the whole thing flat in some cases. For my uses, I find it very durable. Ive taken it all over Europe in just a backpack and traveled by air and car many times with it. That being said, I wouldnt feel comfortable giving it to a kid who is rough with things or a younger child. I personally would want something more rugged for kids.

Greater than one weekA few months after the 1 year warranty expired, we started experiencing issues with the touchpad. The mouse cursor now disappears regularly and the touchpad becomes unresponsive. Only a full reboot of the device fixes the issue. Acers online help portal offered no assistance due to it being out of warranty and I cannot reach anyone on the phone to help either.

> 3 dayPicked this up on Prime Day. I wanted an Android tablet and along the way found out about Chromebooks. This is currently one of few Chromebooks to support Android apps and also has a touchscreen. Read Googles info on these then get it! Boots from cold in 10 seconds. Enter Gmail login and you are up. No waiting for updates of Windows, McAfee, Java and flash. It just runs. Most everything you need to do is now online somewhere. Do you really need Word and Excel? Its free at MS One Drive. Photo and video editing are available online.
