> 3 dayI am glad that I purchased this chromebook because my desktop crashed. Its a very sturdy chromebook, has a good weight to it - doesnt feel flimsy. The only downside is that it doesnt play well with the Asus external monitor that I use. Otherwise I would def purchase it again.

> 3 dayMY MIND IS BLOWN! I am a medical student...soon to be doctor. This blows my macbook air out of the water (PARTICULARLY in terms of pricepoint). It runs so intuitively (something apple used to rule at). It also has its own solid anti virus protection built in (competitive feature against apple as well). It runs my EHR system AND I can use Zotero for bibliographies. Research paper writing, check. Patient charting, check. I was worried about memory/speed etc. But THIS THING RUNS LIKE A CHAMP. Note: I am not a gamer nor graphic designer nor movie producer. I can imagine requirements are way different. If only I knew I was WAY overspending for my needs. The ultimate minimalists dream computer!!!!! A $1700 laptop is clearly a waste in terms of what I actually need or even use! SO EXCITED AFTER PLAYING WITH THIS THING ALL NIGHT.

> 3 dayBefore purchasing this Chromebook, I was using both a Mac and an HP laptop. Both of which were expensive laptops at one time. Needing to purchase a more current computer on a much tighter budget, I did a lot of research and opted for the Acer Chromebook R11. I knew before I purchased it, that I shouldnt expect (or become angered by) a level of quality that was not as high as my former laptops. The less-than-expensive price tag was a HUGE first clue. Also, remember that laptops and notebooks are from the same fruit bowl but definitely not the same fruit. Notebooks are generally smaller and dont weigh as much as a typical laptop. Those two elements of a notebook explain why a laptop is able to out manuver a notebook. More functions = more hardware = more wieght. With all of that in mind, I am very happy with my purchase.

Greater than one weekThis computer is more of a overpriced laptop rather than a hybrid as advertised:

> 3 dayIve been EXTREMELY impressed by this device. I was initially a little nervous as the system was somewhat glitchy for the first couple of weeks, seemed to be a problem with the Chrome OS because it was fixed by the next update. I previously had an Acer Chromebook c720 which I LOVED--had it for 3 1/2 years and traveled with it all over the world before the keyboard finally died. Here are my favorite things about the R11:

> 3 dayI love chromebooks, and just about always recommend them to anyone who asks. When my son said he wanted a computer for a graduation gift, I didnt have to think too long about it. He loves this thing; nice and portable, lots of utility, good battery life. Acer strikes again and so does Chrome. A very dynamic duo. This is our fourth one.
