> 3 dayA little low on memory, so I slapped an extra 500 GB SSD in it plus another stick of RAM. Performance has held up to my expectations. I always keep it plugged in, but I know gaming draws a boatload of power and would quickly kill the battery, so not recommended for battery-operated gaming.

> 3 dayThe laptop is great except the item description is wrong. It incorrectly states that the USB-C port can be used as a display port. It cannot be. The item model AN517-54-79L1 does not have a USB-C port with display capabilities. If you are interested in having a laptop with two separate monitors, this is not the laptop for you. ACER does have laptops where the description is true, but this is not one of them. I am returning because of this.

> 3 dayI really shopped around for a laptop I could use for video editing and graphic design. The Acer Nitro 5 AN517-54-79L1 had decent reviews and it seemed like the best option in my price range. Well, the first one I ordered had problems so I had to send it back, then the replacement Amazon sent had the exact same problems so I had to send that back too!

Greater than one weekThe computer is good and windows 11 works well with most applications. The keyboard lights up and the brightness is adjustable, which is very good! However, the battery life is very bad, especially for a gaming computer. I have to recharge the battery every 3.5 hours, thats bad. I suppose Ill be buying a new battery for it soon.

> 3 dayOverall the machine seems good, but the product and Q&A did not specify that the keyboard is ONLY red. I inferred from the images that red is a popular color for gaming alarms, not that any manufacturer would make a hard-to-see keyboard that is ONLY red with no backlit co0mor changes possible. Now, I hope that there is some way to replace the keyboard with one that does not have the keys colored black and red, but Acers website refers to tech help for and this product through Amazon does not seem to come with a basic warranty for assistance. Hmmmm. . .
