In terms of gaming, this laptop is on the low-end. You’ll want an RTX 3060, or preferably a 3070 for excellent visual quality especially if you plan to use your laptop hooked up to a nice monitor or TV. Personally, I use an ultra-high-end desktop with an RTX 3090 founder’s edition for high-end 4K gaming. Meanwhile this laptop is my go-to for playing my favorite MMOs, even when I’m traveling for work. The high refresh rate is exactly what I need for gaming.

Dead on arrival… no power

The graphics is good but when you buy this laptop upgrade your ram asap. And make sure your headset covers good cause these fans are LOUD!!

I am not a gamer but wanted a new laptop with features that this one had. The lighted keyboard is amazing. I did add ram to the laptop but is was already fast as sold. great product

So I had the older version of this laptop for years and did not have a SINGLE problem, sadly during transportation in my vehicle, the screen got hit and cracked, so I couldve replaced the screen, but figured I should upgrade to this one because the space on this is a bit bigger, and I think it was time. So I had high expectations for this one, and it definitely didnt meet them. I dont like that the backlight doesnt stay on anymore and you have to hit a random key for it to light up, and if you play in the dark, you dont know what youre hitting. No clue why Acer would do this and not add an option to keep it lit. The community even backlashed against it but they dont care I guess, anywho, when I try to type my pin to get in, it will say that my pin needs to be set up again, which it doesnt, and the way I have to fix it is by resetting my pin, or restarting my computer, both kind of annoying. It also keep freezing, its slow to change between tabs sometimes, and buffers ALOT. My old Nitro 5 never did that and was running like it was a top of the line PC. Kind of annoyed at it, the bluetooth is kinda iffy as well, I have bluetooth headphones and for some reason it auto connects to it when it feels like it, other times I have to manually connect them, it does this for all the pairs (3) Ive connected to it. I dont know, Ive never had headaches with the old model, but this one kinda bummed me out because I expected much more..

I dont usually write reviews but i purchased this laptop for my son whos a gamer and this thing is a BEAST! YES we did some mods and utilized some of the upgradable features to make it a little better which cost us all of a couple hundred bucks and let me tell you for a teenage boy he is STOKED! Im one happy momma for the price and hes rockin and rollin! It has a fan better then his bedroom fan and he can do his college work, game, watch his videos, etc and im confident i wont be replacing it for years to come! The warranty amazon offers for it is AMAZING also! If your on the fence DONT be! JUST DO IT!
