Greater than one weekBefore buying this for my son, I read pages and pages of reviews (I sort by the most recent critical reviews primarily). There were good points raised in some cases, but given the value offered for this nicely configured laptop gaming rig, I went ahead and ordered. To be ignored are the reviews who condemn the product/manufacturer for all eternity because they got a dead one out of the box - (disappointing of course but it happens sometimes).

> 3 dayi have owned this laptop for almost 2 years now and I think I can write a review now. I can simply just not recommend it in my own experience simply because of the Overheating issues I have tried everything I repasted it on multiple occasions with different thermal pastes I have undervolted it i have bought a cooling pad I have set the CPU max power to 70% I have cleaned out the fans and grills nothing has worked. i think this is a problem with just mine as i see other people on forums who say they repasted once and they dont go over 70 but under heavy loads and gaming i get lucky if it the temp goes below 90 degrees it is a constant 95 and on idle it averages at around 60 to 80 and spikes up to 98 degrees C of course. but in every other aspect it is a great laptop and it runs what every you need it to perfectly and it is prbobaly one of the best deals you can get for a laptop with a i7 and a 1060 but i am stuck with it and just have to deal with the boiling water temps and lets just see how long this thig lasts was it worth 1000$? no as i am 15 as of writng this and that monye took a long time to get i wasted a 1000 dollars on a water boiler

> 3 dayMy husband and I each got one of these to play world of warcraft on. It overheats really bad. & Dont even dare try to get on the internet while playing a game the pc just cant handle it. There have been a few times its so hot I cant even touch this laptop. In raids or when new expansions/content comes out its absolute hell on this computer. I am currently building a pc desktop for us both. a year has been enough! Yes, it will run games ok and has really pretty graphics but the CPU gets way too hot. but in the end sadly it is a laptop, and I cant exactly put a CPU cooler in it. 2000k for a little less than a year is kind of a hit in our pocket should have returned it.
