> 3 dayFan ran constantly even when powered off and on battery power. Acer support was useless. Title says it all. Acer support didnt even try to resolve it over the phone and just told me to send it back. I am a computer engineer and did all the basic troubleshooting such as bios settings/update. Drivers and firmware updates, etc. No way I was going to send a brand new laptop back to Acer. I just returned it to Amazon. Probably wont by another Acer product after the crappy support experience. They should at least pretend like they want to resolve it without me sending it in for repair.

> 3 dayOverall was a decent laptop but the heating issue is very worrisome. Had to stop using it. Not worth the money imo.

Greater than one weekLove the look and portability of the laptop. There a few twerking in the setting and graphic so game can run smoothly but overall it was a nice update from my outdated desktop to this laptop. Little tip, dont let nvidia experience optimize your game. It was this program that took make me a whole week wondering why even low end game skip frame and literally after uninstalling it(after updating the drive) it drop cpu temp by 10 degree while gaming which was hitting 80 degree on game like maplestory 2 with it on. I had to reinstall it to upgrade the driver but didnt let it optimize the game. Overall it a great laptop for that price.

> 3 dayThe Acer Helios Laptop is great for the price with the 144hz monitor but the constant FPS drops during gaming is making me think of returning it and getting a different gaming laptop. The only way that I found online to reduce the FPS drop is by lowering the processor minimum and maximum state to 75%, which drops the FPS by 30.

Greater than one weekPlaying CSGO i had to limit framerate to 177FPS in order to avoid overheating of the processor. Ended up returning the laptop as this was not preferred as it still ran at around 85C under cool (65F ambient) with good airflow.

Greater than one weekGood laptop. I primarily have it hooked to a separate monitor, but the few times Ive used the native monitor, I have had good experiences.

> 3 dayWouldn’t recommend. Got this laptop paid 1200! For it all it does is over heat. Fast forward 6 months later GPU just randomly stops working. Not only that not even a month after I brought this one the newer Model comes out for same price and this models price drops significantly. Waste of money. Don’t get me wrong it’s a beast of a laptop with amazing specs but you better have this thing being cooled by a radiator it just produces way too much heat which degrades components over time.
