13-06-2025So this is a laptop that is meant for gaming. And throughout the past laptops and desktops I’ve had this one by far gets the hottest. While running games like LoL, Rust, CSgo, games that are not very cpu or gpu intensive. The laptop has a feature to tell temps. and while playing these game not on the highest quality even two steps down the laptop will consistantly have the gpu running at 87-94°C and the cpu will be running at 95-107° and I know this is not good for either one so I stop to let it cool off.

> 3 dayBefore buying this for my son, I read pages and pages of reviews (I sort by the most recent critical reviews primarily). There were good points raised in some cases, but given the value offered for this nicely configured laptop gaming rig, I went ahead and ordered. To be ignored are the reviews who condemn the product/manufacturer for all eternity because they got a dead one out of the box - (disappointing of course but it happens sometimes).

> 3 dayI planned to use this laptop for gaming, but the cooling in the laptop is not effective enough to cool all of the parts. I get frequent frame drops even in games like rocket league and counter strike go on modest settings. The specs at this price are too good to be true. Also, after a month of moderate use, one of the hinges used to open and close the laptop has come out of its framing, which wasn’t due to any dropping. I should’ve returned it when I could’ve.
