> 3 dayBefore buying this for my son, I read pages and pages of reviews (I sort by the most recent critical reviews primarily). There were good points raised in some cases, but given the value offered for this nicely configured laptop gaming rig, I went ahead and ordered. To be ignored are the reviews who condemn the product/manufacturer for all eternity because they got a dead one out of the box - (disappointing of course but it happens sometimes).

> 3 dayI read a lot of reviews about this laptop before I bought it. The main two problems reflected on the reviews are overheating and battery life, which I was concerned about. After two weeks using it, I think these problems arent big deals to me. I am mainly a CS:GO and DotA2 player and this laptop performed pretty well. I could reach at least 140 fps in any maps in CS:GO and could reach up to 250 fps under lowest graphic settings. The overheating problem do exist sometimes if u dont turn on Coolboost or maximize fan usage. Temperature could easily raise to 90+C and would result fps drop. Usually I turned on Coolboost and highest CPU temperature would be around 80C, which is acceptable. (A cooling pad might be helpful according to my friends but I dont think it is necessary for CS:GO or DotA2) Battery life is to be honest short. Only lasts 3 hours just typing files on Word. But usually I used it for gaming and could find a place to charge. Ill have to praise the 144hz screen and 1060GPU which makes the game flow smoothly. It actually helps a lot in FPS games. Additionally, the price was very attractive.

> 3 dayNeeds to be undervolted heavily in order to do any kind of gaming. Also youll need to void the warranty by putting better quality thermal pads/ paste to gain any kind of longevity out of it. Upon doing so, I found several screws missing from the heat sink. All in all Im giving it three stars because after all of that, I can finally enjoy it.

> 3 dayThe laptop runs normal things fine. Twitter, YouTube etc.. but just playing cargo, I get awful frame drops often. Its really not even playable. Looking to return mine for a refund. Not happy at all. If it cant run CS what can it run, unfortunate..

> 3 dayFor what it costed me, its amazing for what it does. I can now play the games I wanna play on high settings, all with great performance that I crave. Only real downside Ive found is it gets REALLY hot, like really hot. I got a temp measuring app and while Im playing games like Total War Warhammer 2, High settings with Ultra Unit cap, and the temperature gets into the high 90s Celsius. So to keep the laptop cool most of the time, you have to prop it up so it vents out hot air while setting the fans to full blast constantly. So if you have a great cooling system to help bring that temperature down to a manageable state for longevity, then I recommend this if you cant afford better laptops.
