> 3 dayAfter reviewing a bazillion laptops and checking reviews after reviews, I finally settled on this bad boy. For less than a $1,000 (score one for sales) and getting Amazon payments, I couldnt be happier. Some of the reviews are accurate far as high temps during gaming. I would expect that as you are imitating desktop level specs in a tiny case that just cant provide the proper level of cooling.

> 3 dayI bought this for a mid level gaming laptop and to stream from xbox with it. In the 1st to weeks it had the famous BSOD which it couldnt recover from and was starting to have heating issues. Sent it to Acer repair. Pretty quick turn around with a reset computer. Seemed fine for about a week then another BSOD that it recovered from. Started getting hot again so I checked the temps and cpu % a few times when fans started running at full speed. Temp spikes over 200 with cpu not exceeding 40%. This laptop that is advertised for gaming cant play a 7 year old game on High graphics without over heating and throttling. When streaming my xbox I run the xbox through a capture card into the laptop. With that, Streamlabs and my bot it generally run around 190 degrees with 30% CPU useage. This brand new laptop cant even do what my 7 year old MacBook with an i5 can do. I should have read the reviews. This is gonna nd up being a $1200 word processor for my wife while I spend another $1500 to get what this should have easily done. This will be the last Acer product in my house. BTW, My Microsoft Surface Book will run the same game this laptop struggled with and at higher settings.
