Works great even for gaming for the price.

Bought this at ~$100 for a cheap gaming PC. Has performed excellently for many months now. Excellent value at that price. As others have noted, this is based on the 12 nm refresh of the 1600, so its performance comes closer to that of a 2600. Given the current price, though - itd probably be better to purchase a Ryzen 5 3600 instead.

The bang for the buck you get with this CPU is insane. This basically has 95% of the performance of the Ryzen 5 2600 at 75% of the total cost (overclock this, and it will get practically identical performance). 6 cores, 12 threads for $85?! Tell that to me just a few years ago and I would laugh at how unbelievable that sounds. This is such a great time to build a budget gaming PC. I dont see why you would go for any other CPU under $100 unless you absolutely need integrated graphics for a low budget, non-gaming build.

Im running this in a Gigabyte x570i Aorus Pro Wifi (ITX) board with 2x8 gb Crucial Ballistix LT. This is a placeholder until Ryzen 4000 series.

EL CPU salió defectuoso... La PC prende pero tiene un retraso en el cache que hace que el sistema operativo funcione erraticamente... Sea WIndows o Linux.. igual. Se hicieron todos los análisis y el CPU es el respondable. Lamentablemente no hay protección de Amazon para este vendedor.

This is the best bang for the buck out now for budget or medium gaming.

Look no further if you are building any kind of budget build. You wont find this performance anywhere near this price elsewhere.

Nice budget processor. Great for almost all tasks. Runs cool & does not draw too much power.
