The initial installation was a bit confusing with smart life app because it always redirect me to the browser to install the app when i already have it installed in my phone in the first place. And the fact that the scanning of the bar code is not being accepted and redirects me to to install the app. But after a couple of trial and error, i was able to install it successfully and was able to add others in the household who will use it. Be aware that after adding personin your household, and before they use it, you will encounter the switch in the app to be turned on when in fact it is off. After turning the switch off and on, this will reflect the app status now.

Works as intended. Kept failing when trying to use my 5GHz wifi. Switched to 2.4GHz and connected fine. I assume it isnt compatible with the 5GHz frequency.

Cons: It uses its own app. So you have to have the app for this device as well as your Google home or Alexa app. It doesnt just connect through the Alexa app like smart lightbulbs do. Once you connect it to its app you can add it as a device to Google home. Also, you cant set up the timer within Google home. You have to do it on the app this product comes with. Of course you can create a workaround routine to do it within Google home but its kind of convoluted to create a time on time off routine that way. I didnt have any issues with the smart home app it came with, but it looked cheap so I was really worried itd have issues. The shape could be improved upon. If it is plugged into a 6-plug outlet converter, it will make the inputs to both sides of it unusable. Im sure there is some way to shape this so that there isnt that problem. Pros: Clicking sound! gosh I love it! When it turns on, you hear a loud click. First it kind of scared me, because the sound is a little reminiscent of an electrical problem in the outlet, but its just to let you know the outlet has gone on or off. That is my favorite thing about this. I use it to control my space heater, so I feel safe when I tell Google to turn it off and I hear the click sound. This was also the cheapest smart outlet I could find on amazon. It stays connected and synced to Google Home 100% of the time as far as I can tell, which is impressive to me- even the most expensive Smart Bulbs will sometimes lose connection.

Easy to get connected and running. Great for lights and small electronics, I have a tiny space heater in my basement I was hoping to hook up to it. After the first use the plug socket stopped working mid-use. Tried using the same plug socket with just lamp, tried resetting the plug socket. I think that the little space heater blew it out.

I rarely loose my phone. I have bought many remote controlled light switches but they invariably break or get lost. Plus the only have the option of on and off. These Bluetooth sockets are capable of so much more. Will buy again.

This item is great , easy to install and easy to setup , the only thing I noticed is the schedule options , I learn that you need to setup the on and off twice meaning , One for the smart plug to coming on and another schedule time for when to turn off . I just think most peoples dont know this . Thank You

The instructions do not clearly state what the steps are and in what order. The screen shots do not match what I see on my phone. Do you download the application first? You need to ensure you have Alexa, or Echo application on your phone along with the Smart Life application. Wanted to run it simply from my Alexa but that didnt seem to be possible without running through the Alexa Application. There is discussion about Quick Mode or AP mode configuration. No explanation of what AP mode is or why you might choose it. They suggest Quick Mode but dont explain why. My phone does not have a QR code reader. It appears that might be the easiest way however, I dont have that. You will need to remember your wifi network name (easy) and password. (Not as easy). Our devices all automatically log on to the home wifi network. We havent entered a password for 2 years. We have unfortunately forgotten the password. That means resetting it mid stream. Not fun. It doesnt tell you to plug in the smart plug before starting. Maybe obvious but it doesnt tell you that. Should you plug in the appliance with the plug? Tells you to rename your device, but doesnt show you screen shots for that. Smart Plug was not in the device list to choose from on the application. Instead it showed pictures of the same electrical plug with 3 options. What option should you choose? Been frustrating. I am not technically advanced, but I also am not completely inept. This product and the incomplete instructions have made me feel inept. Some may get this right away. But I havent, and I now have 4 plugs that are expensive and not really useful to me. I would pass to a different brand in hopes of better instructions. I chose because I wanted to run from my Alexa in the house. Dont want to run it from a phone app because what does everyone else do when I am not at the house? Should be run from the Alexa device. Not the Alexa app.

This will be the third time I buy these. I’m kind of hooked into the app and the routines and it has really been working and helping a lot. One of them died, but I’m glad it stopped in the off position. I do need another one in that spot so I’m going to purchase a few more. They are 99.9% reliable to stay online. The one that was dying first started to go off-line. I guess that would be a signal that one’s about to fail. Not everything lasts forever. I’ve been using these heavily for quite a few months.

The product definitely works just not what I expected. I used this for my ac so I could cool down my room without having to go upstairs before bed. I didnt know that when you shut down the ac it goes back to a preset temp. So keep that in mind if youre using it for a similar reason. Although the product definitely works I dont love that you have to download an app for it. Not sure what I was expecting but Im definitely not disappointed. For some reason I thought it just would connect to my alexa app since it mentioned alexa integration. Also possible that I havent figured it out yet...
