> 3 dayAfter opening it I plugged it in where I wanted it (upstairs and quite a ways from my router) and the app found it right away. I tried twice to connect to it up there and failed. Then I thought it’s like most things, the closer to the router the easier to connect. Plugged it in 3 feet from my router and connected in 15 seconds. Changed the name in the app to describe what it controls and automatically was in the Alexa app. I did have to set up 2 routines so it would turn on and off the light I wanted at the time I wanted but that only took a couple of minutes. I guess what helped me is I already had the Smart Life app installed and had used it before with some candelabra bulbs I purchased a while back. I’ve had it for a couple of days now and so far no problem. For 10 bucks works as well as my true Amazon Plugs that I have bought in the past. I would and probably will buy again.

Greater than one weekAll set up 3 works great but one does not work the blue light will come on and it let me connect it to alexa but when blue light is on the power isnt passing through the plug to a lamp I have it plugged to I tried another plug on same lamp and it worked great then retried the faulty plug on 3 other lamps same problem so came to the conclusion that one of the 4 ifls faulty so deserves a 75% rating because 3/4s work great and 1/4 foesent work at all

> 3 dayI got a two-pack with a coupon, so it was a hard to beat value. These work great out of the box, but I did run into some minor issues that I will outline in case anyone else runs into problems. 1. They currently use 2.4GHz only. Not sure if the chipset supports 5GHz and they just need a firmware update, but well see. If you happen to know, please comment. 2. My wifi access point uses dual band, with 5GHz being my preferred network as its less polluted by neighbors devices. This means I had to switch my phone over to 2.4GHz to configure and back again. Alexa doesnt care which youre on - you dont need to be on your own network once theyve been configured. 3. Id highly advise using a password vault like lastpass or the like. This made configuration so smooth and simple, while using That said, I do question the security of these, and I think there needs to be more documentation for users to ensure their home networks are safe. For that Im docking one overall star, despite the listed features all getting five.

> 3 dayI picked these up specifically because as much as I like zwave technology, it seems to be rather expensive to implement large scale (even if it works pretty flawlessly). So thus became the hunt for some Home Assistant compatible plugs for some limited use applications. (turning off floor lamps and the such).. The box doesnt state HA compatibility, but after testing with Home assistant and my Conner ZWave/ZigBee stick, I can say HA does see the device and is able to toggle the state. Other than that, its a wifi Electrical outlet.. it works (ie: current passes through to the device, voltage seems pretty stable, noticed no major spikes or drops (have a multimeter)). Note, its not rated for a Fridge or other HEAVY motor (I have not tested it, but reading through the specs.. I wouldnt try it.. but for non-motorized applications it seems to work pretty good. Wifi/ZigBee, while MUCH cheaper to implement over ZWave (Opensource vs. Licensed), I have to say implementing Zigbee is a pain.. (not the device, just the overall tech). But the range for it is quite nice (much better than zwave, assuming a small number of devices) If you are not a sadist.. you can just grab their Smart Life app and use that to control the plugs and make scenes.. But the real power in these plugs is integrating them into larger systems so you have true automation.

> 3 dayThe set up is a little annoying. You have to use the manufacturers app, then you have to have the Alexa app. It is straight forward enough, but seriously, we should be at the point, where I should be able to just tell Alexa to add a new device, right? And there is one more random fact, which is that the plug can only be voice activated from one of your Alexa devices. Why? Who knows. But it is cool to be able to turn on a light from the app. Very cool.

Greater than one weekAfter 45 minutes, Im sad to report that SmartLife should be the app you use to bring it into Alexa. Do not use the printed instructions. Do not do anything but use SmartLife. Once its connected, works perfectly!

07-06-2025Cons: It uses its own app. So you have to have the app for this device as well as your Google home or Alexa app. It doesnt just connect through the Alexa app like smart lightbulbs do. Once you connect it to its app you can add it as a device to Google home. Also, you cant set up the timer within Google home. You have to do it on the app this product comes with. Of course you can create a workaround routine to do it within Google home but its kind of convoluted to create a time on time off routine that way. I didnt have any issues with the smart home app it came with, but it looked cheap so I was really worried itd have issues. The shape could be improved upon. If it is plugged into a 6-plug outlet converter, it will make the inputs to both sides of it unusable. Im sure there is some way to shape this so that there isnt that problem. Pros: Clicking sound! gosh I love it! When it turns on, you hear a loud click. First it kind of scared me, because the sound is a little reminiscent of an electrical problem in the outlet, but its just to let you know the outlet has gone on or off. That is my favorite thing about this. I use it to control my space heater, so I feel safe when I tell Google to turn it off and I hear the click sound. This was also the cheapest smart outlet I could find on amazon. It stays connected and synced to Google Home 100% of the time as far as I can tell, which is impressive to me- even the most expensive Smart Bulbs will sometimes lose connection.

> 3 dayI’ve been used these sockets for many years already. This time I decided to add a few sockets, but received defective. Seller’s support immediately sent be a replacement and now it works well! As of the device itself, if it’s not defective, no issues so far! I’ll certainly buy it again!

08-06-2025I had originally bought one plug and liked it so much I bought 12 more. Two months in 3 stopped working so the company replaced them no problem. Now I have one not working at all and haven’t heard back from customer support. Another keeps having a weak Wi-Fi signal. So when they work , they work great, but it seems like not for long.
