Although it is not a a/c unit ,it does a great job blowing cool air.a touch better than a fan, it has surprised me by doing much more.

If youre deciding to buy or not like I was, here are few points. This is not an A/C. Dont expect it to cool of room or make ski slope snow. It is personal desk fan. Once you accept that, you can decide if you want it. I like it and Im not disappointed. First let say that evaporative cooling is a myth. It does exist in theory, but in real life is totally inefficient. What you get is a mini humidifier and desk fan with the added benefit of vapor mist. The vapor mist is the part to experiment with. Freezing the filter did not show any help. Keeping it wet is just fine. The reason is that in hot room ice melts right before your eyes. That also applies to water in the reservoir. Standing water warms up rather quick in a hot room and defeats the cooling idea. So the solution that seem to help is filling the reservoir with just enough water to keep it from running dry. Maybe quarter of the tank or less, and keep adding ice instead of water. Seating in front of fan in hot weather feels good, and keeping the water cold makes cooler breeze. You can also put little bottle cap with scent inside the unit and have room freshener. My favorite is peppermint oil. I run it at low since the fan is noisy on high setting and I want just a breeze, not a tornado. When it becomes really hot I turn on A/C, but for spring weather that fluctuates from hot to cold this thing is just fine.

Everything came as pictured. Followed the directions BUT if the room is hot it doesnt really cool it down but for a few minutes. Not worth what we paid for it.

This works great for my situation. My husband is elder with health issues. He is very cold natured. Needs house to be warm. I am just the opposite, hot natured. If you follow the instructions it will last a good 8 hours. It allows me to stay cool and still keep my husband comfortable

Works great as a personal cooler. My AC went out months ago and its not in the budget to fix. So this personal cooler works well in tandem with a fan. Chills well even on lowest setting. Be warned that sometimes it leaks the water like a sieve. If you try and move it all with water in it, the water will leak out. Sometimes water will leak out of it if there is any left in there after use as well. I have it set up in a small plastic container because it leaks. Freezing the filter like it suggests doesnt really seem to affect the coldness levels coming out of it. I just run cool tap water into it and onto the filter and it gets chilly. Filter can be kind of janky fitting into the slot.

Works far better than the random one I bought from Walmart in 2018. It helps me sleep at my girlfriends house who does not have ac in her bedroom. It absolutely will cool you off but it’s only for one person. Only drawback is the tray that holds the filter can be extremely frustrating to remove and put back in. Yes it leaks water, they all do, it pushes water out the front so it’s obviously going to get wet at least this one has a filter and tray to catch the water. Don’t put any exposed wires near it and you’ll be fine it’s an amazing product for small space/personal cooling. Sitting 2-4 feet away directly in front of it for 10-20 minutes with the device set on high will actually make you shiver.

I would rate it higher, but the power cord it came with doesnt really work with it. I thought it broke, but it was actually the power cord that stopped working. I ordered a different one and tried using the same cord and it didnt work either. Thats when I realized the power cord had crapped out, not the unit itself. So now I have to return the other one I bought and get a better power cord for it. I like it because it does what its meant to do though. I have it on the table next to my bed for when I sleep. I need it pretty cold to sleep comfortably, because I over heat easily when I sleep. My dog usually gets out of bed because she gets too hot too, but now with this she stays in bed with me most of the night so I feel like my dog likes it too. I like the night light option, it looks cool and its not too bright to sleep with, but its bright enough to see by when you wake up in the night. I also feel like it acts as a humidifier because I notice that the humidity in my reptile enclosures dont drop as much at night any more and I know thats probably good for all my plants too. If youre expecting it to significantly cool a room it wont do that, but it drops the room temp by a couple degrees after its been on a while, but when youve got it pointed directly at you it will definitely cool you off.

You get what you pay for, can be semi loud but it does cool you down a bit. Adding ice and freezing the filter is the best way to do it, but if you don’t then it’s just a fan and nothing special.

Its alright for an hour or so then you have to fill it with ice cubes and water again to keep you cool. I usually but it on the table if I have a barbecue on a hot day but it gets tiring to keep having to refill.
