05-06-2025First off - this isn’t an air conditioner, it’s a swamp cooler - that is spun air going over iced water. So it does throw off a cooler burst of air than a dry fan. It’s small but operates admirably. It’s powered by a USB cable that is only about 14” long. I had to buy a longer one. The bad: It’s cheap plastic and one of my vents was broken. It leaks and so you need to put a towel under it. It’s powered by a USB but it’s not chargeable. It has to be connected to power. So in-all it’s okay. I got one for a van and to be used with a fan to create a cooler breeze. It’s fine. It was cheap after-all. I’d return it but is was only $30 and would be a hassle to repack. I wanted to note the good and bad for future buyers.

04-06-2025Works like a charm! The unit isnt big enough to act like an AC but its good enough and much cooler than a fan

> 3 dayWorks well for the first couple of times, lightweight and easy to from my bedroom to office, not effective enough particularly in hot weather and plastic made of looks not elegant enough.

> 3 dayI had bought this for my husband who is an over the road truck driver because his bunk air conditioning went out in his truck. I dont know if he will want to deal with soaking the filter in water and then filling it up with water but if hes hot enough, I guess he will. I tried it out in the downstairs of our house which is roughly 1,000 square feet. I had our downstairs central air set on 73° and I turned on the Artic Air in the kitchen, after soaking the filter in water, then placing it in the freezer for about thirty minutes, then filling the artic air with cold refrigerated water. After about twenty minutes, it had the temperature in our kitchen down to 69°. I have a picture of the thermometer in the picture. The top number is the outside temperature with the humidity amount and the bottom number is the inside temperature with the inside humidity amount. I was impressed with the way the little machine worked but I honestly dont think my husband will want to go through all of the steps necessary to make it work the best but it would definitely do the job if he does decide to use it!!

Greater than one weekThis was fairly easy to use but it did not live up to the hype. It stated that it would cool a room for hours...not! It advertised water as the cooling component, but you have to add ice. I get better cooling from a fan.

> 3 dayMy sons bedroom is a converted attic, which gets pretty hot in the North Carolina summer. I thought this might be an economical way to cool down his study area. It was economical, but it doesnt work as well as wed hoped. To get maximum coolness, you have to freeze the filter, and the coolness really doesnt last. Honestly, youd probably get better results running a fan over a pie plate filled with ice cubes.

> 3 day....Unless you live in Arizona where the the heat is very dry. Unit sprays out water and mist, just what you dont want when its humid. The tank on my unit leaked and never really blew cold air even after I froze the cartridge overnight. Account says I have until June 27th to return it but the system is not allowing me to at this point.
