> 24 hourI rarely leave reviews, but the quality of this gouache blew me away. The colors are true to their transparency rating, with the opaque colors being truly opaque with just a single layer. At this price point I didn’t expect them to be nearly so pigmented. The more standard colors (e.g. lemon yellow, cerulean blue) are exactly what you’d expect, and the other colors included, like seaweed and latte, are fantastic. Basically I want to paint with these forever.

> 24 hourThis was a real bargain! I’m a beginner to gouache but not to oils, watercolors or acrylic. That is why I only gave a 3 for “beginners.” I also gave only a 3 for sheerness, as I tend to apply heavily. The colors are just beautiful!!

> 24 hourOnly problem I have ever had with Arteza is that they dont sell replacement tubes of any of the paints you can buy. Once the color is used up, you are SOL unless you buy a whole new set. This of course tends to make me look at other paint brands such as Golden or Turner paints.

> 24 hourI like the paint well enough but if it was a little bit thicker I would love it. I’m just learning to paint so I will learn as I go. Update: As I learn to paint better, I think these paints are great. If I am working on a painting and want it to dry quick I just hold it in front of the fan a few minutes. I’ve learned a lot on mixing colors and creating my own style. I give them 5 stars

> 24 hourI paint professionally and have worked with most high end and budget brands. When I ordered the Arteza Gouache I did not expect much, but could not resist the good price. I am amazed by the strength of the colors which are highly pigmented. They are very opaque right out of the tube, but diluted with water they become translucent. The metallics are just luscious. I work mostly on wood and really wish I had tried these earlier. Oh, the possibilities....

> 24 hourI’m painting a page a day on an interleaved bible and this gouache is amazing. The creaminess and vibrancy is on par with my Holbein gouache , I really can’t tell the difference except these are significantly better value. Seriously. For this box of 60 colors you can buy mayyyybe 4 tubes of holbein. And these layer beautifully and the color lays down in solid flatness that is the glory of gouache. Can’t complain about anything. Wish I discovered these before investing a good chunk of change in brand name gouache. To see more of how I use these colors check out at kittyliangstudio on the gram!

> 24 hourComing from a beginner with guache this paint is pretty decent. Pros: - color selection - rich, vibrant colors -pearl colors are really beautiful - paint layed down pretty smooth and dried to a matte finish. -a little goes a long way - gives you two white colors which is great for mixing. Cons - some of the colors are a bit transparent , even the ones that are marked opaque. This is most prominent when laying a lighter color over a darker color (ex. Black). This can be remedied by adding less water or a second layer. - pearl colors are beautiful but did not lay well over darker colors. - not many skin shades in this kit so be ready to mix colors.

> 24 hourIm an oil and acrylic painter with many years experience and quickly learned that you get what you pay for when buying paint. Im also a former college painting instructor that had to do demos with student grade paint and it was sometimes an exercise in frustration. But gouache is something I just dabble with - mostly using it for studies - so when the Arteza gouache Prime Day offer came up I bit, figuring that if it were a total disappointment I could give it to my granddaughter. I have the good stuff (Winsor and M. Graham) but I was tempted by the fun range of colors, the metallics and the price, which was so great! So far I have been pleasantly surprised with the opacity, pigment and texture of the Arteza gouache. The only thing I could recommend is that they need to include more white. To be fair, you do get two tubes, but to really take advantage of the colors provided I feel you would need a couple more tubes of white I had big tubes of white gouache at home already so it doesnt affect me, but this is meant to be a standalone set with no open stock.

> 24 hourLove the consistency of the paints! My only complaint is that the actual colours don’t match the outside of the tube
