AudioControl LC7i Black 6-Channel Line Output Converter with Bass Restoration

Great line out converter for anyone putting together a serious car audio system that intend to retain their stock radio. I used this for my Ford F-150 and just tucked it under the rear seat compartment. It handles my Pioneer D-Series 6x9 component speakers and my Pioneer 6.5 A-Series 4-way speakers which run a total of 380 watts RMS. Very clean sound with some interesting adjustments that can be made if you pull the faceplate off and play with the board inside. You can adjust grounding settings, which channels you use (and you can combine channels if you’d prefer) and control whether you want dedicated subwoofer channels or not. For the price I wish it came with EQ controls (or perhaps make the exact same unit with a 7+ band EQ component for an extra $30 or so). It would be nice to have that extra control in one unit as I’ll have to add a separate unit right now for more money and use up more space. But I get to keep my Ford SYNC 3 head unit and all that connects to it and that’s a decent deal. Right now I just have a 4-channel speaker system setup on it but intend to add some subs down the line for my underneath second row spot. What’s really cool is you don’t NEED to use the remote in or out connections if you have power coming into the speaker level inputs as it’ll detect the power and turn on automatically. It’s a cool device for ppl wanting to do some more nuanced installs with aftermarket amps and keep that low end that topically rolls off when you turn up the volume.

I am going to remove the product after several attempts to figure out why the speakers are so bright. I tried there tech support they were quick to anser questions but im ready to start over

Better than using a standard line-out converter. Has some limitations considering the price. Took a lot of time to tune properly and experiment with to get it to sound right. But great for adding a sub woofer. Cleaner signal than a cheap one from Wally world. All in all I am happy with this purchase. Do get the remote though, wish it was included.

Totally need this item to get amazing sound with no clipping or sound lowering.

I installed this on my 2008 Cadillac Escalade. I have the factory Bose system. If youre familiar with Bose, you know it isnt easy to just replace speakers. You have to add amps as well as tie in the factory radio to the new speakers and amps. I had an audio guy do the install and he said to get any LOC to convert the high signal to low. So I first ordered a highly rated LOC that was the standard RCA in and out. The amount of line noise and whining I got from the system was unbearable. I quickly did research and found the JL Clean sweep and also this unit. After reading the reviews and considering the price difference, I chose this. Boy was I impressed. I had absolutely no line noise or even distortion at high volume like i was getting from the standard LOC. The LC7i really performs great and even has the wonderful Accubass feature which gives you a perfect balance in bass. I would definitely recommend this over any other LOC!

I loved the whole component especially for my older car....

all gotta say is damn got this in my 2010 BMW 650 with my two 13w7 and my hifonics brx mono and my 4/300 watts Fosgate prime amp I get all the girls now
